Pretty in Pink

With a bit of watercolors and a stencil.
Love how it turned out.
Layered on the matting behind the photos and used
a premade tag that I neglected to post.
How can that be???
LOL.
Love the alphabet from the stencil which is
totally appropriate because it was my brother's graduation.
And those flowers? Don't they rock?
I made them by using washi tape on white cardstock
and then punched them out.
They totally work perfectly.
Gram and Grandpop down from Pennsy to attend and
my brother ever the joker - rabbit ears.
LOL. Rabbit ears have been a photo bomb since
the advent of cameras.
And a doily.
What can I say.

Got my grunge on!

I found, deep in my closet, a set of foam stamps
from way back in the day, and thought
why not?
I really miss making pages like that.
It was a "stamp of the month kit" - "not your ordinary stamps"
is the only I can find about them.
They have everything from months of the year, to huge flowers
and clocks and punctuation.
The background stamps I used - the small circles and
big ones are about 12x12 size - the "brick" looking
ones and xo- aren't part of the set.
Also did a bit of mixed media in the background with watercolors.
And then there's that DOILY lol.
Couldn't help to be paired with the oversized tag.
Tags and doilies.
This is a photo of my favorite youngest - he and my
pal Barb would have dueling guitars going on when she came
to visit. We both loved her visits.
I fussy cut those letters from some specialty paper that
came in the candyland kit and you'll be seeing
those again. Along with tags and doilies LOL!!!

And, could I resist another doily

Um, no.
No buttons though.
This page sort of just happened starting
with me cutting our the word "love" from the
specialty paper from the candyland kit.
Because I obssess about the goofiest things
I had to put strips across the top there even though
it was a sort of fade.
I neeeeeeed to have something on those type of lines.
Little die cut cluster going on to the left.
Wedding photos of me and the hubs - I think I've only done
one other photo. I took a bunch but these few say it all.
We did have a small honeymoon and I took photos but this
was back in the day of non-digital cameras so
the quality of some of them is not so hot and I have
since taken better shots.

I didn't splatter this one either.
Hmm...I could change that and looking
at it, it could use some enamel dots.

These just say it all.

And here come more buttons

So it looks like I'm obsessing between and buttons
and doilies. Aren't you guys lucky LOL.
Anyway on a couple of the buttons are these
transparent sorta stickers.
Makes you look a bit more into the page so see what's what.
Love that perfect flair pin, and did the same
with those stickers on the buttons on the bottom half.
Doodled about the page and needed to have
washi tape over the diagonal line.
I seem to need to have something over a line like that.
I put the photo on an angle which sounds better than crooked
mostly because I was in that kind of mood.
I've wanted to use the title word "this" for along time and
finally, one more word left in that pack to go.

It's kind of simple and just realized that I didn't splatter
anything. I may or may not add that.

Broke out the lattice looking die cut

I haven't used it in awhile and I was bored
with just layering with paper
-pretty as they may be.
I took the die and used it with multi-colored stripe paper
and it sorta came out with a rainbow effect.
Very cool.
And there's the doily - told you I got carried away
and I'm not done yet.
Somehow, I missed this photo and it was a good thing
I was on the hunt for a photo and couldn't make a decision
because I'm quite decisive like that,
stumbled across this gem.
How could I miss that, Seriously.

Using hard cardboard squares

Well these just baffled me mostly because I wasn't sure
of the whole PL thing because in my head
I had to have protectors with the perfect square.
OCD much?
They are heavy on the page but I used
some tacky glue and I think it'll be enough
to keep them on the page.
If not, I'll break out the big guns whatever that may be.
Each square has something going on and
I thought it a good idea to connect the photo with
the card.
Miss Amelia had a quirky pose going on
that needed a quirky frame to go with.
I had that @ floating about in my die cut box
and it matched sooooo one win for me.
and the butterfly was because I could.
Some watercolors in the background along with
some watered down white paint splatters because
they're cool.

Buttons galore and it won't be the last LOL

So instead of rolling with tags, I've changed to buttons.
Fair exchange.
Don't you find in your creative process that
one item just keeps on giving.
So the heart and arrow are there because
the blue strip just stops and it made me crazy.
Short trip.
Who doesn't love a kitty peeking out of a file folder.
I need to cut more folders.
LOL.
Or not, don't want to get obessed with them.
These are their school photos - my kidlets never had
really good photos - you can tell dad is a photographer.
They have those poses nailed.
I have wanted to use 1st and 3rd title ever since
I did their back to school page and
didn't use it.
I thought of it after everything was nailed down.
That ever happen to you?

Using paper scraps whacked

So I've done this before and didn't want to do the same
thing again, NOTHING wrong with doing
the same thing again.
I do a number of things on my pages over and over.
So...I embraced my inner Lisa Fonseco. If you haven't
checked out her u-tube channel sashsay on over.
She has the most adorable, hand done pages.
It's fun to watch them take shape.
So...
Needing to use up the 999 straws that I have
I tossed in a "stem and leaves" and
voila a really dynamite challenge done with slim to no
artistic talent.
Of course I have a ton of buttons that need to be used and
you'll be totally seeing them again mostly
in the same colors because I seem to rolling with
similar colors too.
So how adorable is that.
Seriously.
It's too cute and I love that its BIG.
I don't usually do BIG that often but I'm gonna
figure out some more slim to none
artistic stuff.
Notice the "tag" tucked in the back.
Sigh.
As I've been rolling with the tags.
LOL!

The other "bloom" on the page is Miss Amelia
who rocks playground.

Oversized Tags Tags Tags!

Clever title as you shall see.
Had a girls day out and of course it has
to be documented.
I really don't do enough of that and
it's gonna change.
So voila- 3 tags...tags 3times in the title.
hehe
I really have been into tags these past 10 pages or so.
Totally focused.
Anyway I thought they'd be a fun change to matting.
Of course the lighting is bad but nonetheless, we had a
great time at the comedy club.
The doily ties everything together and love the
colors of the cards on the grey.
Gasp*** I didn't doodle around the page.

A bit of heritage going on

I love heritage photos and I haven't been messing
with them as much mostly because I had
believed I had done them all.
Silly me.
I have always loved print paper, i.e., dictionary, newspaper, etc.
And this one has a purple tint.
How cool is that.
And nothing says heritage like lace, leaves and butterflies.
If you look in the upper right corner and lower left
I used some ranger mists I've had forever
and used the leaves as a stencil.
Gave the page a bit of an embrace doncha think?
Anyhoo, rooting around in the wayback box I found
this gem. My grandpop, with
his youngest sister and his daughter.
(Aunt Sue and mom-  were close growing up)

My Favorite Valentine 💌

This page just sort of came together.
The paper is from the Studio Calico Candyland kit
and it just begged for a doily.
The rest went from there.
And then....
I debated about a heritage pix but then I
decided I needed to do a page about my awesome hubby.
I rarely do them because I feel it's mushy
and I'm not the mushy type but I'm working on it.
So I picked a photo of him by himself (not too many of them either)
and decided it would be perfect because he is my favorite hubby and
because its about being a Valentine.
We have the best life and greatest adventures.
Love this man, Seriously.

A fun cluster with tags. You're shocked I know!

You may have noticed I'm rockin' the tags
and the clusters with this bunch
of pages lately.
It's been a lot of fun!
These tags are soooo cool and I used
the stamp set more than once.
Love this photo of my favorite eldest son - stole
it off of the internet somewhere.
I'm getting really good at it too 😉
A scrapper's gotta do what a scrapper's gotta do.
Used a glassine envelope to tuck another tag in with some
journaling whining about not seeing him enough.
Just a mom thing. LOL.
Love the mug (both mugs actually LOL).
Love how the page came together and the background "noise"
on the pattern paper suits him perfectly.
Check out his FB page Nick Collins Visuals for
stunning pictures from around the world.
He gets out more than I do.

Studio Calico - more stash bustin'.
Had that word "photograph" in my stash forEVER.

A pretty boy page

This page turned into a very pretty page for a boy page
and I'm oday with that.
Love all the do-dads, project life cards and the small touches.
Love the owl peeking out for a
whimsical touch.
There is Sam and Lou sitting under a tree
enjoying a treat on a pretty day.
Love the layers and especially that doily with some
light splatters of mist.
And that wooden hashtag is perfect.

Very fun photo!

Using up more stash - I do have a ways to go.
Love this photo of the kids
the pose is sooo much fun and it lets their
personalities shine.
More watercolors going on - it seems to be a theme lately.
Just gotta roll with it.
Love the clusters and isn't that pony adorable.
Very fun page that just seemed to come together.
Love their fun poses and then there's always that one!!

Using up stash and stamping

This cluster is a mix of stamps, diecuts and
that adorable little owl (and I have no idea what line)
but it's perfect tucked into that heart.
Used water color on the heart and almost
screwed up getting that heart in the correct place
when I was cutting the paper down from 12x12 to 8x8.
That little hashtag stamp is perfect because their
mama is like queen of the hashtags.
I can't think that quick LOL!
Love the photo of the kidlets and they are growing
so fast and looking so much more mature.
Lots of stash being used up which is cool-
makes room for more LOL.
Actually it's kind of nice as it can get quite overwhelming
and the sad part is that even with all that stash
I sometimes can't find what I want.
You ever have that problem?

Using up some Project Life cards

Lots of layering going on with the cards
and punching out those adorable suns as an embellishment.
That camera was too perfect not to use and that
pineapple is adorable.
Little bit of mists splashed about.
Annie with her camera that she loves
and is quite good with it.
Gets that from her dad. He rocks the pix.
The the big PL card as the title; yellow is such a fun color.
Doodled around the sides - which I'm doing
a lot lately - it just seems to bring it all together.

Pelicans are soooo cool and love to pose

Love getting cool pelican shots as we hung out at the
north jetty last week.
It was a beatuiful day and pelicans can be
quite the posers.
Love the netting that I used to back the photos
and bring texture to the page.
It brings quite the nautical flair to the page and
I've used quite freely in the past.
And will no doubt add it to pages in the future
because I have a lot.
Love these iphone shots that I took of
that bird who was being annoyed by my friend Dara,
making kissy noises at him
so I hung in there knowing he was gonna
take off because he was kind of getting antsy.
Got a couple three clusters going on, the third
at a weird angle but I quite like it
anyway because I
got to use all my nautical quickutz dies.
Kept the title small mostly
because I couldn't think of one. LOL.
