Pelicans are soooo cool and love to pose

Love getting cool pelican shots as we hung out at the
north jetty last week.
It was a beatuiful day and pelicans can be
quite the posers.
Love the netting that I used to back the photos
and bring texture to the page.
It brings quite the nautical flair to the page and
I've used quite freely in the past.
And will no doubt add it to pages in the future
because I have a lot.
Love these iphone shots that I took of
that bird who was being annoyed by my friend Dara,
making kissy noises at him
so I hung in there knowing he was gonna
take off because he was kind of getting antsy.
Got a couple three clusters going on, the third
at a weird angle but I quite like it
anyway because I
got to use all my nautical quickutz dies.
Kept the title small mostly
because I couldn't think of one. LOL.

Studio Calico.

Using every beach die cut I have technique-sort of

Since it works for stamps I figured I'd give
it awhirl for die cuts.
I got carried away cutting them out but in the end I
did use some restraint in putting them on the page.
I also got carried away with the spare parts flowers.
Originally, flowers were not even remotely a thought to go on the page.
BUT, I needed restraint on the die cuts because
it started to look cartoony.
So therefore, there is one of each die or maybe a couple of the same.
The title is Studio Calico and it was a gold-like
color or maybe khaki and it blended in way too much with
the netting so I dabbed white paint and
shabby chic'd it up so it can be seen.
I'm also liking the 3 of the same photo going on.
I'm not sure I've ever done this.
Anyone remember? LOL.
And how about working it in on a "background" paper.
Points for that.

OH! And here's my interpretation of the color palette.!!!

I had a great time with the colors.
I love teal with most any combination.
But red. YUM!!! Red happens to be my favorite color.
I used an old Basic Grey line Out of Print
as the base paper - the flowers work as part of an ocean them.
And the straw was a touch of whimsey along with
some rubon and die cut sea critters.
Spritzed some mists.
And that bow was just waiting.
And the photo of Amelia.
Swoon.

Another Watercolor/Stamping Disaster made right

This is the page from yesterday where I had stamping issues. So I covered it up with white to get a clean slate And sworled some green around to help wipe out some of the black.

If you make your watercolors really really REALLY wet and smushy - you can do this............

Smush on the page.

Hold the paper up and wa-la - running paint. I cut the 12x12 down to 8x8 and used the "other" watercolor parts for the mats.

In putting the page together I flipped it so the watercolors were at the top. Just to amuse myself.

And that left the bottom clear for some neeting, fun fish, and bunches of anchors.

I adhered the bunches of anchors with modge podge; fling them about. It was fun......

And there's Quintin - quite the water bug with a great smile.
Most all again, are Studio Calico except for the
anchors and splats.
My pal Holli bought the 2 anchor punches (big and small) and a splat punch and did a punch
marathon and gave me 3 bags full.
I will be using them alot.
Because I have alot. :)
And that's awesome - because I don't have to punch them out.
AND........
The letters are SC and what were the odds that I'd have 3 A's.
Um...slim to none.
SOOOOOO I used a V and the dot for the I and/or J.
TA-DA!
