I have a couple of albums going on...

Mostly because I've been playing with watercolors, Tim Holtz inks,
sprays, crayons, and oxides oh my...
However, I was dabbling in this album before I binge watched
Tim and decided that I had to have his product.
But I digress.
Saw this photo of our beautiful granddaughter and I was like
SO WHEN DID SHE GET TALLER
and more grown up.
When did that happen?
Obviously, when I wasn't looking.

This is my "Wonder" album - mixed media artist album
from Michael's, I think.
I created some pages uses watercolors, sprays and dylusions
that you may have seen some previews here.
Anyway the rainbow drips did the trick, add a TH sentiment
with a doily and and inked up butterfly from
messing the TH inks.

Love how it turned out.

Mixed Media - believe

This page was what Adele calls "use it up" page.
I had a stencil already messed up with modeling paste
for one page, so I use it up on an unsuspecting blank
page in my mixed media album.
So why not add "use it up" watercolors t as well.

And wa-la - instant page ready for a photo.
I used quite a bit of layering because
A. I love laying
B. It makes the photo rock
The stickers from Momenta (I think Hobby Lobby)
that "believe" was really tough to get out
of the packaging which was annoying.
And the rest just worked right in.
Love how it turned out.

Music to my Ears

Using Pink Fresh and a snapcatch from
instagram - a fun, sort of girly page evolved.
There's even journaling there - no need to add more.
I whacked the 12x12 down to 8.5x11 because
that is one of the sizes I am using now.
I have used this size intermittently before because
I really love all sizes and hate to be limited in my choices.
But...
Again, a photo of Annie and I scrapping her photos
in the little albums I made for her
and Owen - the background (see arrow)
is playing his saxaphone.
And as you can see it wasn't a pleasant sound.
However, who doesn't love a sax and some music
to scrap by LOL.
Journaling by dad: When you start learning to play the saxaphone
you are more Goose than KennyG.

Took me a minute to get that.
But I gots it now!

Scrapping with Annie

I did post it on facebook but I want to show more.
Yes, this is the little book that had the
wardrobe malfunction all decked out just
waiting....
Annie is quite the photographer and
has her own camera.
A pink fujifilm instax mini that she uses
alot and quite well.
So here's an action shot of Annie going through
her photos and picking out ones she
wants to add to the book.
 She even did the journaling.
How cool is that.

It was fun showing her how to...
All I did was hold the glue and flip pages
for her to pick the perfect one for her photos.
Based on the amount of photos in that box
I need to do a lot more mini albums.
Ah man....😍

And of course, you'll be seeing a page I made about it.

This paper reminds me of the dot candy back in the day

Don't it?
These aren't exactly dots but the same premise.
I can't remember what they taste like
but back then if it was candy I liked it.
Just because there is a rainbow of dots doesn't mean
that some watercolors can't be splashed about.
Of course a fun banner with bits and bobs of adorable things.
Miss Annie's art was featured at her school's district art show.
Second year in a row I believe.
I know she was very proud and excited.

Studio Calico, Fancy Pants transparency I think-it's been
around for a long long time.
Loving my sunburst/splash punch.

Stapling a photo to the mat

GASP!
I have seen others do it and almost cringed
but I put on my big girl panties
and tried it and love the result - it's kinda cool.
Who knew.
I have this problem with keeping photos - well
looking nice. It's just one of those things
that need getting over.
I also brought out some stitching down the paper
and if you don't look real close you won't
see that I have issues going straight.
Love the kraft embellies and they work
really well with the papers - from
the March kit.
My other granddaughter Annie also napping
with her puppies (stuffed).
It must have been the day for it - especially the girls.
What were the odds.
Love it.

Broke out the lattice looking die cut

I haven't used it in awhile and I was bored
with just layering with paper
-pretty as they may be.
I took the die and used it with multi-colored stripe paper
and it sorta came out with a rainbow effect.
Very cool.
And there's the doily - told you I got carried away
and I'm not done yet.
Somehow, I missed this photo and it was a good thing
I was on the hunt for a photo and couldn't make a decision
because I'm quite decisive like that,
stumbled across this gem.
How could I miss that, Seriously.

Using up some Project Life cards

Lots of layering going on with the cards
and punching out those adorable suns as an embellishment.
That camera was too perfect not to use and that
pineapple is adorable.
Little bit of mists splashed about.
Annie with her camera that she loves
and is quite good with it.
Gets that from her dad. He rocks the pix.
The the big PL card as the title; yellow is such a fun color.
Doodled around the sides - which I'm doing
a lot lately - it just seems to bring it all together.

Title on the actual page

Love ready made titles as it keeps me from
frying my brain sometimes.
Love the fun embellies - from the Lute and Song kit.
Kept things kind of simple...
and splattered some watercolors about.
And aren't hula hoops fun.
I remember them when I was a kid and I could
fling my hips with the rest of them but
the other tricks were beyond my capabilities.
Studio Calico everything except tissue paper and water colors.

Tongue in cheek - Tres Chic

Love to make fun titles and this photo was perrrfect!!
Got some mixed media going on and I may
have even lifted my ban on mists - Heidi Shine pink and gold.
Only way to roll.
Got a bit of Nuvo dots going on...
and doodled around the page.
I really wondered when I would use a title like this.
Love how it turned out.

I just love this paper

From Studio Calico and couldn't wait to use it.
It is just sooooo cool and the pencil scribbles
totally rock.
Something so simple but I wouldn't ever think of
doing scribbles.
Mostly because I don't think my scribbles would be that cool.
Which is silly because how can you screw up a scribble LOL.
I wanted to keep the embellishments down
so the paper could be seen.
I also used some die cuts that I had made for a previous
page that didn't quite make it.
Some wooden embellies and the A for Annie.
I decided that it would be cool as a "bathing, swimming, maybe
beachy" type paper and found Annie with the
perfect bathing suit.
The title is from Pink Fresh.

Rolling with more stars

Because stars were perfect for yesterday's page
and today's.
On a side note, I love that little clipboard stamp.
Layers with both the PL card that is so perfect too and
also some layers behind the photo.
And the stars came with this months Studio Calico kit
aptly named "written in the stars".
And I used every one of them.
Not crazy about the way the glue wrinkled it
but it may have also been humidity because the stars
curled too. It's been extremely humid lately.
So there's Annie singing her heart out  with what looks
like a real microphone and
I love the photo.
I wanted to make the page fun and kind of girly.

(Her singing reminds me that when I was a kid I'd put
records on in the bedroom and sing in front of a full length
mirror with a hairbrush as a mic. I had the moves but not the voice. LOL).

2x2 Black & White photo on a page

Love this paper - not sure what its called
I know its not hombre but the design has a name.
Help?
Anyway, I kept the embellishments relatively simple
because of the stripes and colors.
Love this packet of embellies from Jillybean Soup.
I think - they all came apart in the baggie I keep them in.
Is that flamingo not adorable - or it could be My Mind's Eye.
Sigh. Hate when that happens.
So I love all the layers behind the photo and its an adorable photo.
Annie with hair gone wild.
So cute.
Splashed some mist about and called it a day.

Using a brown paper bag as a background mat

It was one of those moments as I pulled the papers
out of the brown paper bag that
Studio Calico uses to send extra papers
when I pulled them out and laid them on top of the bag
and it was all like oooohhhhh.....

Anyhoo, it frames the paper really nicely and gives a rustic
autumn kind of look.
I also found a kraft envelop that worked nicely too
to pop the "paperbag look" on the page
and continued that rustic look.
The folded over top was actually what sold me
because it was perfect to add a small
photo with a background.
The mat under the photo is a kraft doily
with that purply-blue color peeking out.
White circles join all the embellishments together and
does look better in real life.
The wooden alphas and butterflies also add to the rustic-ness.

Annie girl in the grass.
Love her 'do.
Waving.

It's actually the perfect size the page protectors too.

I *heart* shenanigans

Picked up this adorable paper at my local
scrapbook shop and couldn't wait
to use it.

I really didn't have to do much to the paper
and I really love this one that had a huge shamrock
on it.
Put some layers behind the photo and fussy cut some
shamrocks out, then, tossed some washi tape on.
Added some bling to the shamrocks, backed
the sticker as a title and tada!
Very fun!

Making spirits bright

with candy cane striped paper and a bit of dimension
with a sort of star stencil and modeling paste.
Didn't quite work out the way I envisioned.
I fussy cut the title from a card because it was too big
and the berries because I liked them.
Can't go wrong with mists - it can cover a number of sins.
And that QK flower is just perfect for the sin. LOL!!
Layers and some pink fresh Christmas words and
there you have Annie (Oakley) in her
pink cowgirl hat.
I did this page before I started running out of the Christmas papers.

Presplatted paper and Arrows

The brown and gold splats came with the paper
and it was perfect for this
series of photos.
Of course I had to add more colorful splats with some hearts and stars.
I thought arrows would be fun to roll through with the photos.
Stamping some fun thoughts and that title is perfect.

TA-DA Annie caught the football

Fun page that helped in jump starting the ole mojo.
