TN - Fun page of our getaway

to the Keys.
Key Largo - John Pennecamp - a lovely state park
that I wasn't sure I would like.
However, it started out 3 days and ended up being 5.
Love spur of the moment stuff and love
that it totally worked out.
I took this lovely photo and printed it as a 4x6.
Not that I wanted to, but I printed from my phone and
I am not familiar with that, I am still an aperture user
but lately updates has been making it weird, so now
I'm attempting to use photos and my phone.
The phone only has one choice.
The best thing about aperture is I can take 2 or 4 2x3 photos
and print them all on a 4x6 - NO waste.
Sigh.
😐
Photos is a joke. Really. And the superstar
Lightroom doesn't do it either.
So, enough with the whining...
As you will see, 4x6 landscape does not work in
the TN unless you split it in half
across the pages.
As my notebook is WAY TOO thick, it wouldn't
have worked out so I whacked the photo literally in half
that fits on the page quite nicely.
Not the look I was going for but it worked.
So using some die cuts and a flair as a sort of title
thing going on and a date banner because
when I stamped directly on the page
it was a bit screwed up because of the thickness.
Because of the way I took the picture,
I was able to split it.
I do love the result (and not wasting a 4x6)
and if was fun, we did use our bikes
a lot on this trip.

And, ta-da - this is the final page in this notebook
and now I get to start a new notebook.
Woohoo!
I think I'm going to try to keep it flat-er.
*Laughing hysterically*
I LOVE DIMENSION.
Sigh.

I changed the cover because it had 2018 on it
and of course I added 2019 photos into it.
I think you're supposed to run the month with
it but my months wasn't been exciting enough LOL.
It is quite thick.
Which is way I neeeeed to work on lack of dimension.
Or not.
This book is now retiring to our storage locker and
I am currently working on a new one.
Exciting times as we are getting closer to hitting the road.

TN - Happy New Years!

This was fun!!!
I found a background stamp and confetti'd
it all up with different colors
Added the star splats in the same inky colors and
love the festive result.
 Love the boom!
We had a lovely dinner and time with close friends
and enjoyed ringing in the new year.
Prime Rib.
Yum!

TN - Details

Well.
I honestly didn't know what to do with this page
that was in the middle of the book.
Honestly, our everyday life is really kind of boring.
As you can see.
So I used some Pink Fresh stuff on this page
because honestly you can't have a blank page.
LOL.

TH- Moment to Remember

Love doing the "Tim Holtz" album
but I need to retire this one - even though
it's only half filled.
It is WAY too bulky at this point and will be
hard to store.
I am going to endeavor to be less dimensional
on my pages in the future.
Snort.
However, I did find this photo just laying about
and it needed to be on a page.
I did one similar where it had my gram and the
sisters-in-laws, this is my gram and aunt toot (sil)
and 2 friends.
And there is no one who can tell me who they are now.
Even though it's an absolute no-no
write stuff on the back - it'll sooooo help future
generations.
Just sayin......

TN - Everyday Magic

Maybe one more with the grands.
Can't promise LOL!!
Another photo from our fun time in
Myakka State Park.
Grammy got in this photo so it's really
neat that it's the 4 of us.
So yes, yes, I made a shape out of the photo.
Gasp-faint-thud! Because seriously
I whine about my mom and her deckle scissors escapades.
However, *I* used a diecut LOL.
I thought a flower shape would be fun and it
did cut out unnecessary background stuff.
Oh and yessss - more of the mushroom stencil.
I did an Inky Quill thing and when I used it once I put
it in a few other pages and books while it was
already mussed up.

TN - Let's go!

When the grands were down we had the best time!
At night as we're all winding down and
me especially, I love a rousing game of Word Whomp.
It keeps my mind agile and my fingers nimble.
Because you really need to know how to type
because you have 2 minutes to find all the words.
It goes fast.
So during my rousing game, the grands
sort of wandered on in and we had a blast getting the words.
We played almost every night until bedtime.
Grandpop and mom even joined the fray.
So of course it had to be documented.
Annie and Owen are pretty smart cookies because they
were shouting out the words faster than
I could type.

MM- Dancing Queens

I thought I had photographed ALL the projects
I have completed because I am WAY
behind getting them on the blog.
Ah well.
And I'm also having a battle between aperture and photos.
I also spent a few days in the keys.
I'm baaacckk!!
 Enough whining LOL.
I found this photo in a box of photos I had
no clue existed until we started packing things up.
You'll be happy to know we're almost done.
I used one of my fav stencils and some modeling paste
for the background.
That adorable woman - stamp that looks like a sticker
is from my pal Holli when we had our play date.
I made a couple of them.
We need to make another date to make more.
Anyway, this is a photo of me, Liz, Melissa and my SIL Ginny
dancing at a wedding.
We didn't quite have YMCA down LOL.

Tim Holtz.

Oh and because that book is sooooo thick now - I'm only doing
one side of the pages and trying to keep things flat.
Success with keeping to one side pages - not so much the flat.

TN - Seashells on the Beach

I'm really diggin' the traveler's notebook
and it's getting quite full.
Only a couple of pages remaining.
I used a Studio Calico stamp to cover up
a premade saying that didn't quite go.
It was a beautiful, sunny day and we went to the North Jetty
and found to everyone's delight that the
beach was chockfull of shells.
Alot.of.shells.
Too numerous to count.
So I went into my die cuts and found the perfect
ones to go on the beach to accent the photo.
It was kind of fun to put them together for
this page.
Old school.
They found WAY TOO MANY shells and did
keep some really perfect ones to take home.
Can't wait to see what projects they make from it.

TN- Love this

The grands came down for a fun long (albeit)
short weekend and we had a great time.
We went to Myakka State Park, a fun
place to visit.
Lots of wildlife to see, trees to hug and
Grandpop to photobomb.
A good time was had by all.
And, shazam!
A great photo with no goofy faces.
Win!

MM - Finding goodies in the long lost bins

My favorite eldest son went into the Army
at 18 and when he popped home
of course he dropped off stuff he couldn't
carry around the world with him.
So in the process of downsizing I went through
said bins to see if anything needed to be saved.
 Well........
What a find this was!
A caricature.
And a fun one it is.
And I had no idea or this puppy
would've been scrapped
years ago LOL.
I painted this background page for another
photo that just didn't work out
but it's kinda fun for this one.
I cut that camera out from a brochure that
came in the mail.
Perfect!!!

TN - A baby beauty contest

I had a lot of stuff to go through in downsizing
and one of them was going through my
mom's scrapbooks to see what's what.
And low and behold I found some stuff she had
but I didn't.
And how wrong is that LOL!
Anyhoo, my mom was a participant in the beautiful
baby contest. Above is the write up from
the paper because two Hellertown girls participated.
Of course the ripped part is my mom.
And then I ripped out the page from my dictionary
book (yesterday's post) to use.
I love how it turned out.
And I do remember my Gram talking  about it
because she had that photo prominently
displayed.

TN - A book from back in the day

And how it survived from my childhood I'll never know.
Because we moved.
Alot.
More or less - it does depend on what you think is alot.
Has a bit of wear and tear.
And I felt the need to photo some of the pages.
 Randomly.

There were even really cool illustrations.
And of course I had to make a 2 page spread
in my Tim Holtz album.
Journaling is tucked into the tag behind the
"book" cover,
and I'm sure it covers my page ripping issue.
 I LOVE BOOKS
I ADORE BOOKS AND to rip pages out of a book
😐
I closed my eyes and ripped and love
how the pages turned out.
I have also used more pages in my album as
you will see.

TN - All dressed up

and nowhere to go.
LOL.
Except for our Christmas dinner with friends.
I had been doing WW since January,
lost 32 lbs and this dress still had tags on it
because it took me YEARS to get into it.

Banner moment that.
And the weather was beautiful enough to pull it off.

We had a lovely dinner and fun time.
This may go with me.
It's actually a good dress to relax in for no
particular reason.
