Another foam stamps & enamel paint page

Say that three times fast LOL.
Well same set of stamps (not your ordinary
stamp set) just different ones
and different paint colors
but basically the same - except I flipped
the flowers to the top.
And I did fussy cut and punch some flowers
for some extra ooomphh!
It also works perfect with the B&W photo
that is soooo cool.
I can't figure if the it's Tuesay or August hanging
out and giving comfort to Amelia
who was feeling under the weather.

Would you believe I have absolute NO big size black
thickers in my stash????
Me either, but it's so - therefore I broke out
my Quikutz - emily font and wa-la.
Does anyone use die cut alphas anymore?
I love the white splatters with the bold colors
it makes me smile.
Tossed in a bunch of sequins and do
see those teeney tiny butterflies throughout?
Aren't they adorable?
It's an itty bitty punch.

Foam stamps and enamel paint

I have a ton of them because at one point
foam stamps were totally
en vogue for scrappers everywhere.
So, I broke out an old, old set that came as a
kit of the month, named as "Not your ordinary stamp set."
It has everything in it, from month stamps, flowers and
stuff in all shapes and sizes.
I then took out my studio calico color theory paints
and wa-la (except for white) that I wasn't using much and
look at those vibrant colors.
I need to work on my painting skills but I do love the result.
Nuvo drops in gold are the flower centers.
So wild, bold, and colorful on kraft paper.
I love kraft paper.
I made a mat cluster with that amazing gold doily
(doily and tag people LOL)
to highlight the small photo
of my gram with my favorite eldest son - so
that would be his great grandmother -Mammy - he
had trouble with G's.

Mom, Nick and I were bringing Mammy back to Florida
for a visit and Nick just needed out of his
car seat for a moment - and of course she sat in the
back with him.
It was fun to have her with us.

The title doesn't stand out here but works in real life.
Tim Holtz words that say it all.

Got my grunge on!

I found, deep in my closet, a set of foam stamps
from way back in the day, and thought
why not?
I really miss making pages like that.
It was a "stamp of the month kit" - "not your ordinary stamps"
is the only I can find about them.
They have everything from months of the year, to huge flowers
and clocks and punctuation.
The background stamps I used - the small circles and
big ones are about 12x12 size - the "brick" looking
ones and xo- aren't part of the set.
Also did a bit of mixed media in the background with watercolors.
And then there's that DOILY lol.
Couldn't help to be paired with the oversized tag.
Tags and doilies.
This is a photo of my favorite youngest - he and my
pal Barb would have dueling guitars going on when she came
to visit. We both loved her visits.
I fussy cut those letters from some specialty paper that
came in the candyland kit and you'll be seeing
those again. Along with tags and doilies LOL!!!

Sortof Studio Calico.

Abandon to God - Bible Journaling

Abandon is a word used quite extensively by Oswald Chambers
and I have already used it in a couple of places in my Bible
and there will be more places to use the word Abandon.
Abandon - complete lack of inhibition or restraint.
Be carried away for God.
In Mark 14:6 Jesus points out that
Mary does a beautiful thing for Him and He loved it.
There were not many times in Jesus ministry that anyone
impulsively showed Him their love and Jesus
had to actually point this out because a couple of disciples
criticized Mary's impulsiveness.
How often had we been impulsive for God.
I used enamel paint and gesso for this page
as well as a foam heart, Martha Stewart punch and tiny alphas.

Selfies can be so much fun

And I have the pictures to prove it. Owen, Annie & I had a blast getting this photos. Its fun to watch them try to push the button without have arms, heads or fingers blocking the picture.

I wanted to do a fun page to show the fun we had. and I had this paper from Studio Calico of course, as well as the stamps from last month, and wondered what to do with it and them. Well Miss Ashli at the Purplemailbox took care of that. Mine was kinda sorta a lift.  I had a more graphic look with a photo strip and 2 3x3's on the side.
Well.......I couldn't get it to print right and since I've been in a cranky mood since last night,
I gave it up and did it this way.
LOVE the FUN.

Family pets are people too

The latest addition to my kidlets family.
August the Vizsla.
He's very pretty and photogenic.
So of course he gets his own page in the family album.
I want to pet him and keep him and love him.

Do any of you remember Auggie Doggy and Doggy Daddy cartoon?
Yeah me too, only I remember it from TV Land.
They debuted on the Quick Draw McGraw show and although
they were dauschands it still applies because
its all about the name.

I have a mix of papers going on - Studio Calico, stamps, punches, and thickers.
I stamped and used watercolors over the area as well as Heidi Swapp mists.
Layered papers - I love layered papers and some Scotch waship tape.

JillyArt journal

And here it is....
My son's girl is not only an amazing photographer
and pretty
and a great mom
she also draws.
I'm hoping it'll rub off on me. bwahahaha! How annoying that she's so talented and I'm totally jealous.
She didn't get back to me on the title so I took the liberty. And I think it fits. I also went old school with foam stamps and it appears that I need to practice maybe. Or not. It kinda fits.

And now the pages. I added some colors and tags and buttons.

Mists and a Tim Holtz mask that I had forever and some avacado bag mesh.

Tried some stamping and had some issues where some white paint actually saved the day.

I had a great time smooshing and swishing.

Watercolors are very forgiving and I used a spider stencil, fern stamp and the flower stamps and some swirls.

I thought the white clever and pasted some snowflakes down and just smeared some color over them. Sort of an embossed look.

Tim Holtz gear masks, and love the drips. Don't the make you swoon. And of course the Tim Holtz die cut houses with a map stamp overtop.

I used some modeling paste and another stencil. And one of those gold doilies.

Another stencil with the bird cages that I really adore because its not perfect. And those clouds look better in the photo than in person. Maybe Jill can do something about them. I didn't let robin's red breast dry enough before I turned the page.
My bad.

More stamps and stencils.

Used these paintable butterflies with some gear mask and added some snowflakes and sequins. The swirls are all mine.

More stencils and stamps and a cute Martha Stewart doily.

And the back I added some stamps and a touch of white paint.
I'm hoping to get it out to her and I'm hoping she actually uses it and sends me photos so that I can update you with how it REALLY turned out in the end.
I'm really excited.
