Hose 'm down....

Diggin' in the wayback box I stumbled across photos of my
favorite youngest. Shane.
On the first birthday, which became a tradition (starting with
favorite oldest son) in which a one year old and chocolate cake become one.
Its a sweet messy tradition.
After which, said one-year old is hosed down and dunked in a pool
because there is no other way in getting cleaned up from chocolate birthday cake.
Ever.
So every year we'd go see Mammy who lived in PA. My grandmother, my sons' great.
And she was a terrific lady I admired all my life.
(My favorite eldest son had trouble saying G's (because to me she was Gram
or Grammy) so upon introductions Nick promptly said Mammy.
And Grammy/Mammy once she got over the shock of being called Mammy, thought it was all good.
You can just see her on the edge of the photo (which means Memaw took the shot).
SO get this - it was Mama, Memaw (my mom) and Mammy.
Say that three times fast.
(I have a lot of tongue twisters).
Anyway, I have no idea how I missed this photo until now.
Shane playing in Mammy's clothes basket, exploring the holes in it.
And Mammy watching Shane.
Priceless.

These are priceless, Lynn. Love the cute title on the first page. Definitely a great way to get rid of birthday cake, especially chocolate. :)
