Do you know how hard it is to find baby neutral items

Even in the scrapbook world.

Sigh.

So I plundered Echo Park baby both boy and girl

to find that neutral stuff.

Because the parents want to be surprised.

And what a great surprise it'll be.

Tucked under the books are the crocheted 

blanket I made and I found really cute leggings

and onsies in grey and white.

My other niece in charge of the shower

asked if I could help with the grandma badges

and banners she found on pinterest 

and of course I could

Would you believe I had all the supplies on hand?

Surprised me too (well except for the badges and flowers needed for

the grandma pins).

Love the soft yellow and grey.

They also requested books so I found two of my boys

favorite books.

I have had this acrylic heart - like forever

and really wanted to use it.

 I forgot how tough it is to do see through.

But I made it work.

 Goodnight Moon another favorite book

that I couldn't readily find but love it as an ending to 

the baby album.

All this was completed in less than a week.

Love it when a deadline comes through.

So on our way to the shower is when we met up with our friends

at a campground in northern Florida.

Where we discussed going full-time and found our new coach.

So it's all their fault LOL.

Stencil and watercolors

I really love how it turned out.

It was scary throwing it on there - I mean 

some peeps can smoosh watercolors around and make it look awesome.

I can smoosh watercolors around and its like

so you just threw some paint on.

I actually started out wanting to use my gelatoes

and somehow they just fell by the wayside. 

Aren't these doily hearts girly??

My pal Holli gave them to me and they're gonna be so perfect.

 I managed to cover up the majority of the stencil and watercolors.

Shocking I know.

 Dug out my new Kaiser Craft googies and started layering.

 And more layering....

Not quite what I envisioned but better.

Odd how this works out sometime.

Very girly and feminine.

Like a tiny dancer.

And its a 2 photo page. 

Don't do too many multiphoto pages.

And I need to.

Spring - for Off the Rails challenge

This is my page for the challenge at OTR for April.

It was a color palette and sketch challenge.

I have troubles with color palette challenges because I

never have the exact colors. Or all of the colors.

Which is why its a challenge.

Love these older papers by Jillybean soup. 

And if they don't have the exact colors - they have a facsimile thereof.

And you can't have spring without butterflies.

Nor is there not sprint without an adorable kidlet celebrating

that winter, long, cold, hard winter is history.

More or less - because this has been quite the fickle year.

You & Me

This page was a long time coming. The mojo just up and left for a bit. So glad it returned even if its a brief moment.

Therefore, I started just by picking the paper and letting it sit on my desk for a bit. Then I thought it needed some mist on it. I was leaning toward an aqua - and changed my mind, using Mr. Huey's metallic copper - and it was the second thing on the page and not the last.

oooooo I know!

My pal Holli and I had some retail therapy at Hobby Lobby yesterday and I picked up a pack of 6x6 Simple Stories that you see as mats, the wooden veneer people and the stamp.  The vellum title is from Studio Calico as is the base paper.

I love how it turned out and I must admit that I redesigned it several times. I was in one of those I can't decide or it really looks stupid that way. Another photo of me and the Mr.
