watercolor color papers and leftover inks and/or paints.

but alas.....

Love the monkey shines font!!!

Homemade project life card

Because I do have limited supplies and storage,
I don't have a lot of room for pre-made project life cards.
And I love them.
However, making my own and customizing them
is a lot more fun and I've gotten so much
better at making them.
This is a Sissix thinlet die that has a bunch
of sea creatures on it.
I use it a lot.

As you may know if you read my other posts
I have a love/hate relationship with
those dies that have ITTY BITTY pieces.
Like a puzzle 😐
I am not fond of puzzles.
Oh that "stitching around is a Technique Tuesday stamp.
They have 6 different ones - A fav!

I found because of the way I do things that
whacking everything out all at once
and then trying to figure out
where everything goes.
That is not a plan you want to employ.

When I made these I cut ONE CRITTER at a time
AND THEN,
I actually put it together RIGHT THEN.
Of course you have the packaging close at hand to
check out the photo of more than occasionally.
IT WORKS WWAAYY BETTER.
And don't get me started on those itty bitty little dies. 😐🤣🥸

The 4th Scrapbook Challenge with my pal Brooke

It was a fun challenge, again. I find all challenges fun, more or less LOL.
Buttons, tags, stamps, ribbon and doilie and the sketch below.
She totally nailed it.
I think this one is a favorite.
Love the photo of her son and hubby.
My "doilie" was a cool thing I had from pink paislee.
Brooke sent Today at 9:29 AM
I love Thickers. The loves part of my title are foam thickers.
Brooke sent Today at 9:29 AM
My tag is the arrow patterned paper....cut it up and used it to layer

My challenge from Brooke gave me a 2 spread - which I only did one
and thought what the heck - lets do a 2 page.
See that photo with my big mouth open - only a long lost
cousin I haven't seen in 40 years took it.
Love that nothing changed since we were kidlets.

My challenge from Brooke was the sketch below and
patterned paper only, 6 buttons, 6 eyelets, ACK!!! 3 stamps different mediums
WHICH IS TOTALLY OVERLOOKED THAT - SO FAIL!
and handmade flowers.
Also FAIL on eyelets - I had NOT A ONE - so I used whatever
brads I had remaining - which wasn't many.
I think I had 7 and they were all different - so I used them anyway
and they totally worked.
I was so worried about brad and eyelets forgot about stamps.
Sigh.

You will also see this page in my new 6x8 album that you can
read about here !! It turned out so pretty I think.
Can't go wrong with oxides and stamps.

Travelers notebook - Let's go

Using up them PL cards and when it's perfect, well there ya go.
24/7 - 365
Why yes, my darling sweet hubby (99% of the time) spend
all that time together.
We live full time in our RV and travel 6-7 months (more or less)
out of the year traveling.
Which is such a blast, we have a lot of fun.
Then because I could I made another page that turned out really cute.
TH butterfly, Art-C, Studio Calico, TH, Dear Lizzy stamp.
On the backside I glued this envelop and tag because
I really didn't want to have to embellish another couple of sides
only because I feel I have too LOL.
It's a thing.
So I really wanted to write more about our adventures a bit
more so that worked out really well.
I have chatted about us being together 24/7. You can read about that here.

A fun time we had before leaving was getting to hang out with the
grands in which was a lot of fun and good food.

It worked out well with journaling on the left and photos on the right.
Used some TH on it - Studio Calico PL & stamps, MS alpha punch, oh my
new dragonfly stamp. Had to work that in.

Mixed Media - Twelve and then some

This was a fun page to make, however, if you skim
down, I made it for the photo of my favorite, fearless eldest son
jumping out of a perfectly good airplane but the colors
didn't work. At. All.
However, this page of Owen turning 12 is perfect.
It turned out really fun.
Lots of TH - using the oxides sprays.
I'm still trying to get the hang of the sprays, etc.
stamps, but the embellishment side of it.
I still scrapbook it LOL.
However, it turned out using the packaging technique
and some stencils from Art-C and some
Tim Holtz tags and embellies.
The title was done with stamps I bought from M's
and even though I have the packaging - there's no name.
I also use some same stamps from the Art-C.
Thanks to my pal Holli who gifted me with this
TH die cut of flowers.
Love the colors!!!
Those butterflies are made of wax paper. I find
that if you layer in wax paper when die cutting
intricate dies - it helps pop them out easier and the
wax paper does make a cool embellie.
This was a premade page - using watercolors.
Had a lot of fun making these pages and as I said
I'm feeling my way.
I also found these pages are sticking together so I'm
only doing one side with photos in this album as well.
In this album which is a mixed media watercolor album I gessoed
the pages and I think that is the sticky culprit.
I'll keep you posted.
