Birthday card - one year old

Grandbaby first birthday needed a fun card.
I love this QK monkey so easy to put together.
Using some fun embellies I premade with
watercolor color papers and leftover inks and/or paints.
and Martha Steward alpha punch (wish I got the numbers punch)
but alas.....

Love the monkey shines font!!!
The alphas in blue are QK calvin.

Instead of sending Valentine cards

I made these monkeys, one of each sex, on a straw for all the grands
instead of a card. 10 of them in all.
They were a lot of fun to make and as an
extra goodie, I wrapped $1 bill around the straw and
used a piece of twine to hold it on.
I'm told they were a big hit.

So the girl monkey has eyelashes and earrings.
Gold earrings. LOL!!!

From the crop - fourth kit to page

I didn't have any Halloween papers, per se.
So I rifled through my papers and kitted some Basic Grey.
And didn't that work out great.
I also got to break out my monkey die once again.
And wasn't that fun.
Love the Evalicious camera and arrow and the tags were as one
until I whacked them apart and BG as well - different line.
One of my favorite things about BG - most of their lines can work together.
 Lawn fawn pins.
Love those pins and they were fun with the theme.
BG candy corn and envelope - that finally got worked into a page.
And the thickers give it a fun look.
Love the documentation of the costume to kid.
Curiouser and Curiouser!

Using an old and hardly used die cut

Guess which one is the die cut???
LOL!!
It's the MONKEY - I was in a giddy mood when day
and it was on sale at 2peas I believe.
Enough said.
Not many calls for monkeys on a page but
every now and then you can work that baby in.
Like now.
And googly eyes. More giddiness.
Monkeys on pattern paper - basic grey.
I used some gesso to simmer those monkeys down.
Punched out the banner and fussy cut
the tape the monkey is holding in his hand and embellishments
on the left side.
And also punched out the circles and music notes
making my own embellishments.
Very fun page.
Dad is a musician so this totally works.
Monkeyshines music man.
