Traveler's Notebook - added some pages

Shocking I know.
I can't believe how erratic I am.
But there's a lot of depending:
mojo
internet
mojo
I made this "tag" individually.
As like I didn't put it all together in one flash.
Each "page" was done at a different time and place.
But....
It seemed a good idea to make a small tag booklet.
Under that adorable twine bow is a staple.
I have a hard time leaving staples naked.
 and so they flip up.
My DH LOVES his coffee and roasts his own.
I must admit it rocks.
So it's the roasting thing and making of the coffee thing.
Because it doesn't go through a Mr. Coffee.
Oh no....
It's a pour over.
Which doesn't take any longer than a Mr. Coffee
except you can set it up ahead of time.
For all you TH fans out there I have no clue where that
"flair" button came from except Studio Calico.
It's adorable all together.
Then a GINORMOUS tag from Bo Bunny adds a different
flair in my TN. Lots of layers.
Another little TH homemade tag thing.
It wasn't quite big enough to stand alone in my TN
so I tossed it on the 4x8.5 page.
That's the backside of the Bo Bunny tag where I cut
a hole to set those butterflies free over the photo.
I fixed it.
I did pre-build the tag with the flower - it just looked right
and it totally works with the photos.
Believe it or not I ran out of Colorado "license/map embellies
so I cut these out from TH license plate paper.
Love how it turned out.

Roasting coffee on the road

The Mister is quite the coffee snob
and decided that his "hobby" would be roasting his
own coffee.
So he brought it on the road, all the comforts of home
right at our finger tips.
 It's absolutely delicious.
He buys the green beans on line
and then in his coffee roaster

 commences with making magic.
It does take a touch and monitoring because
one does not want to over roast and burn the beans.
(Think Starbucks)
and wa-la!!
The aroma of the beans and then after its coffee is so amazing.
Of course he makes the best roasted coffee beans ever.
And he had to veer off into decaf
*gasp*faint*thud
but only for me... because caffeine and I don't
work well together and doesn't that
stink- after having the best coffee- I have to drink decaf.
However, its still amazingly de-lish and I get my coffee fix.

Gettin' in more scrappy time in again

I wanted to add some "routine" and hobby photos
in this album to show what we do on the road.
Contrary to popular belief, we do not party day and night. LOL.
So here's my darling sweet hubby with his "hobby" or passion I should say
in roasting coffee. His coffee is delish and sadly, I can't drink
it if its caffeinated. He bought some decaf green beans
on line and roasted some today.
Decaf-Guatemalan coffee.
It is sooooo delish.

I also like to put some of our campgrounds in and
since we'll be staying here for a month,
and we have a great view with some livestock
swimming about, it helps if we want to return to said campground
in the near future.
And of course my scrapping on the road, this is
my third time doing it.
I love having a completed book when I return
and then make bigger pages if the story calls for it.
Then my other "love" is crossfit.
I go everyday when I'm at home and it pays
in keeping the ole bod moving right along.
The trips we took in the past, either we didn't stop long
enough or I was too chicken to drop in a different box.
Well I finally found the guts and I'm so glad I did.
I feel great having my routine and keeping up.
Not exercising for a long period is really like starting over
and that's really tough. So now when I get home
I'll be right in the swing of things.
Mostly.
It'll be a couple weeks which is better than 8 weeks.

Girl talk over a coffee

New Hampshire loves their coffee -
and there are quaint and not so quaint coffee shops everywhere.
And we may have made an acquaintance with each and every one.
 Cheers with a little bling.
 Sharing a pumpkin brownie.
Delicious coffee - a maple latte.
Yum..
Serious girl talk.

Morning in the Everglades

Sitting on the deck with our boat rocking gently while having our
caffienated beverage. Coffee is nector of the gods.
Just sayin'......
It doesn't matter how you wake up in the morning, coffee always makes it better.
It was a beautiful sunrise with just a bit of breeze as the Captain checked
for optimal conditions on when we should hit the water.

He determined that morning was better as showers were called for later in the day.
And for once the weathermen were right.
So we hopped in the boat and headed out on our shakedown cruise.
There are a few bugs to be worked out.
It's been awhile since we had a boat, so we are remembering things as we go.
In some cases, we need to remember faster.

We proceeded to cruise up and down the 'glades.

The waters in 'glades are really tricky and the signs they have out there
do not mark the channels. The water levels change exponentially therefore
a heightened sense of awareness is called for.
We watched as locals zigged and zagged their way through and lurked
about waiting for our chance to jump their wake and follow.

A boater did come our way and we followed him out to the gulf waters.

Its a good thing the Captain had purchased a boat GPS because it was
really confusing on our way back and having "track back" on helped us
through the low waters and numerous look-a-like "islands."

Hopefully the weather will turn again tomorrow and we'll be able to go
out again and I'll keep my camera near so I can photos of the 'islands."
Its tricky moving around on a small boat -
especially when "grace" is your middle name.
