Sightseeing on the New Hampshire side

Roaming around in Portsmouth we turned
to check out Strawberry Banke
and it was a museum of houses back
in the day.
I caught this house as we blew by
We zipped down to Rye Harbor and found some working
boats moored.
And some just hanging out.
If you're a #Wicked Tuna fan we found the Pinwheel,
Tyler's boat moored in the marina.
I usually root for him to win.
Not sure why but I do.
And then lighthouses I previously posted, this is from
the NH side and that is Whaleback lighthouse.
Poser
White Island Light house and if you'll notice
from the other photo here and it was
and optical illusion as Whaleback isn't
on the same piece of land as this lighthouse.
I just liked this.
This is Constitution Lighthouse and I got the house
this time.
Another view with a sailboat posing.
And Whaleback from another view on down the road.
Who doesn't love a lighthouse.

Girl talk over a coffee

New Hampshire loves their coffee -
and there are quaint and not so quaint coffee shops everywhere.
And we may have made an acquaintance with each and every one.
 Cheers with a little bling.
 Sharing a pumpkin brownie.
Delicious coffee - a maple latte.
Yum..
Serious girl talk.

Interrupting scrapbooking for travel

to New Hampshire to visit the grandkids
and had a lovely ride on a
really pretty autumn day.
Since this photo was taken with my iphone
and it was shall we say - blurry
I did a "lomify" preset from Thomas Fitzgerald
and it loooks like a painting and
less than a photo gone wrong.
LOL.
Jill picked up her friend Corina and we had a
brunch at the Hilltop Farm which
also makes a really mean Salted Carmel latte.
Their veggie omelet was amazing
made with all fresh organic ingredients straight
from the fields.
And the cafe is in this adorable farm house.
Beautiful colors - a barn with a matching tree.
And a store where if you belong to the co-op you
can purchase a variety of veggies, raw milk and goat cheese.

And then, a unicorn came out to play and....
a werewolf.
After all it was a few days after the full moon
where the magic still lingers.

Beaver Brook Association - Maple Barn

Is a beautiful place. Its a nonprofit that leases land to wanna-be farmers and growers that  plant and tend. Pumpkins were everywhere. And the stone fences are everywhere along the sides of roads. They are historically protected.
Their rustic-ness makes me swoon.

I walked around for hours taking it all in and of course capturing amazing images on my SD card. And beautiful trees turning everywhere you look.

A wonderful walk through that has all kinds of textures and foliage.

Down by some old farm equipment grew this which is probably a weed but who cares. Its pretty. And yes, white is a color.

There's a wonderful path that had lots of color and foliage in which I carefully strolled down. I have this penchant for face planting and didn't want to get up close and personal with the dead leaves.
Well this is part of the path without the color but it looked so cool and foresty.
Caught this on the return up the path. Love the red leaves against the brown tree trunk.
An original structure now used as an office is right by the side of the country road. And doesn't it make you swoon.

Found more red. Love red. Its my favorite color  but you wouldn't know it because I mostly wear green. Which is opposite red on the color wheel.
So I guess I'm close.

More loveliness and managed to capture it while the sun was still out and shining through.
And red and fences.......ooooooo

The weather does change abruptly and in turning this corner. BAM. A picturesque, just begging for a post card, church steeple.
Swooned again right after taking this shot.

And then there was this barn smothered in the warmth of the sun surrounded by all the gorgeous color. Shot this one on the fly right out the car window. Break out the smelling salts.
