Second kit from the crop

Is Basic Grey - Soleil and I love
that paper - its really all done for you and
of course, I struggled because of that.
You know I really hate covering stuff up - so this
was a challenge.
And and then there was the color / b&w debate.
After a census was taken......
The details are amazing and look so real I
started with doing some background work with some
soft Tim Holtz vintage photo ink, my hero arts bird stamp
and american craft? I think, rolling stamp-hearts.
Doesn't that masking tape look real??
Its not - but I did use some real tape on the right corner cluster.
And as usual I used a mix of BG embellishments
because they use the same color dyes they
easily roll from collection to collection.
This is where I put real masking tape and used
studio calico alphas because I wanted to continue the softness.
Doesn't that cluster - look awesomely real??
It pains me that I forget to do stuff like that ....

And...B&W won!!!
It just works so well with the softness of the page.
Annie being a silly girl.
Love the photo!!

Chronicles of a driveby page - Day 4, 5 & 6

In case you don't remember.
Day 1
Day 2
I also thought to spare you individual posts.
Even I couldn't take it. LOL.
Day 3
DAY 4

And here we are making some progress now that I liked the "base".
I keep a box of precut diecuts  and orphans laying around to pick through
at times like this.
Its also a great way to jumpstart the mojo by just randomly
picking out papers and diecut shapes and commencing to whacking.
IN that box
I found a black circle, a 1" circle, a star and feather.
I quite like that little cluster but.......I'm not married to it.
I then decided that some red was necessary and added some washi
tape barely peeking through
under the photo bottom left and right under the notebook punch along
with a bit of burlap for texture.

DAY 5

Concentrating on the bottom half - I decided that I wasn't crazy
about the star and changed it to a heart and
found the stamped "hello" in the box from another
project where it didn't work out.
So that brought the white and black from the circle down.
The heart also brought the red down.
Of course the white and black needed to be repeated at the top
and I found a photo corner - another project reject and tucked it in
and then curled the thread around to make it more
threadier.
Broke out some red homemade enamel dots.
I used some vintage photo ink around all the edges to give
the different embellishments some cohesiveness.
And I let that sit as company came a-calling.

DAY 6

As I happened by my desk I found I wasn't buying the red heart thing.
It was then I remembered I had some 7 Gypsies
hardware - Why did that take so long you ask? Well....
its been awhile since those type of embellishments were called
for I actually forgot I had them.
I used to use the 7G's stuff on almost every page.
And then I moved on-more or less.
I dug into the bag and found some bronzey
"cogs" and placed them around -
highlighting them with my homemade enamel dots
Nothing has been glued down as yet - but its getting closer.
Shocking I know.
And as you know - titles do not come easily - so........
I'll be pondering that -
I appreciate you staying tuned.

Creating a page with a photo collage

I love doing photo collages and I'm searching
for a program that can do it easily.
I'm hunting down a lightroom tutorial because
someday I'm going to have to switch over.
This was printed from Aperture - because I know how to do it there.
There are four 2x3 photos on a 4x6 photo card.
Love the 8.5x11 Kraft paper and did a bit of background work
using my AC rolling stamp and ranger inks.
I wanted a rugged look because my son and granddaughter are rock climbing.
Evidently snowboarding was not going to happen that day.
I decided to be lazy and draw "stitching" around the page.
It just needed that something extra to complete it.
It framed out nicely.
I found those transparencies from Studio Calico that
I also forgot about - I have memory issues going on lately.
But I found the stash at the right time for the right page.
Love this series of photos.

Recollections kraft, Basic grey papers and alphas, Studio Calico transparencies.

Brand new Recollections mists I forgot about

Can you believe that?
Well I stashed them with my stash of inks where
oddly enough they don't fit back into now
and decided they needed to be used.
If you look below in the corner - You see a bit of them
as well as the rolling stamp I used just
to make the background a bit busier
because who doesn't love a busy background.
I also added some droplets of each colors
because it looks cool.
I sprayed and rolled in 3 areas for the triangle.

I love that huge tag and that is my last one.
I totally need to get more of those.
Since I have my sewing machine back I decided that some
edging was required and zipped it around 3 times.
Good thing it really didn't need to be straight.
I totally love the dangly threads.
