Be yourself

Rolling with 6x12 size because the paper
happened to be whacked down to that size.
Actually it may be a tad smaller but it fits in the page
protector so I'm rolling with it.
Fussy cut that camera out and doodled around the heart
and the page. I have been doing a lot of
doodling about because it just seems to finish off the page.
Playing around with pic collage again and
it was kinda painful.
I really wanted a collage look like yesterday's page.
These are pre-done and you can't make
too many adjustments which was frustrating.
It came out okay.
I did change all the photos to black and white
and they are all selfies with me in all of them and
a mix of grands, hubby, favorite youngest son -
all peeps from our travels this past year.

All Studio Callico, some watercolors and Pink Fresh title.

Someone else's selphy/selfie

Love the Basic Grey Kelly Purkey
because purple can be sooooo dramatic
and cool.
When I was young it was my favorite color
and its actually my birthstone.
It just occurred to me I spelled selfie wrong but I'm rolling with it.
Sigh.
I knew there was something wrong and couldn't
put my finger on it.
Till now.
My bad.
And the transparencies are soooo cool.
This sat on my desk for awhile because
being the decisive person
that I am,
I couldn't decide on anything.
Then I decided it was plain and tried to use
some white ink with a stencil on the background.
Sigh.......
but it did add something.
So this is my handsome son who is also
a photographer - more so than me,
and he was messing with dramatic lighting.

Selfie collage with my girl

I love the collage app called layout by instagram!
And below is a combination of
Amelia and I attempting a selfie.
She was in charge of the button and I was in charge
of getting our faces in the frame.
She did way better!!!
I printed it out 8x10 and I was concerned since
these were iphone photos but
no worries they came out great.
And I used 8.5x11 cardstock to mount it on.
Using Basic Grey embellies about helped pull it together.
I did keep them to a minimum.
This was a lot fun to do and there's another collage coming up.
I'm highlighting some of the fun pix that I took on the
trip - that some did make in my
road trip album - but these I wanted bigger and
in my regular albums.

Hanging out with Favorite Youngest Son

Who just turned 24.
But who's counting LOL!
We stayed at Ochlocknee River Park again
and had lovely weather and campsites.
And here we have the pole sitter.
Watching over the camp.

Here is the famous white squirrel a genetic mutation of
the grey squirrels - and a tad shy.
This one did have grey on his head and a stripe down his back.
Really cool.
Shane and I trying to get the birthday selfies right.

It took a few times - and then shazam.
Got one!
Seriously I really only have one chin.

Getting to love taking selfies

More or less.
I tend to shy away from the front of the camera
but I'm making myself get out there more.
Selfies are a good thing because you can see how you look,
and I can look really really bad (in my own head).
I see wrinkles, crinkles and rolls, oh my.
And honestly who cares about such things except me, so I'm making my
bad self get over it.
More or less.......... LOL.
Got the new Studio Calico kit and the Paper Issues Swag bag
almost simultaneously. Doesn't get any better than that.
I broke out my really old Creative Cafe circle and square stamps
along with my new Studio Calico rolling heart stamp.
Layered a transparency over the 2 and love the measured paper.
Flung some sequins and mist around and love the Shimelle camera.
Kept it simple.
Yeah my boy is on my my mind.
I'll probably add some hidden journaling.
He's an amazing young man doing a tough job right now.
And he can still smile.
Time flew when we visited but we had fun and he had a bit of a getaway
and so did we - camping is always relaxing.

I'm hopefully recovering from a sinus infection that is driving me crazy.
It's interfering with everything I love doing.
The drugs are working kinda slow.
So I'll be in and out.
More or less.

:D

Selfies can be so much fun

And I have the pictures to prove it. Owen, Annie & I had a blast getting this photos. Its fun to watch them try to push the button without have arms, heads or fingers blocking the picture.

I wanted to do a fun page to show the fun we had. and I had this paper from Studio Calico of course, as well as the stamps from last month, and wondered what to do with it and them. Well Miss Ashli at the Purplemailbox took care of that. Mine was kinda sorta a lift.  I had a more graphic look with a photo strip and 2 3x3's on the side.
Well.......I couldn't get it to print right and since I've been in a cranky mood since last night,
I gave it up and did it this way.
LOVE the FUN.
