All sorts of cards for April.....

It's a busy month - lots of fun birthdays...
so for my granddaughter Amelia who's turning 8.
Love that little girl stamp.
Very fun.
Pinterest strikes again and love this card for
an 8 year old grandson.
Except for the stamps, the 8 is freehand.
I really need a more talented free hand LOL.
And Easter is popping up and love this
fluffy duck card for the grands.
Pinterest strikes again.
A kickin' birthday card for a soccer afficienado.
Scoured the internet and found a soccer ball I could fussy cut.
A friend of mine asked for a special card as one of
her friends is turning 100.
Can you imagine?
Lots of really old Studio Calico papers going on here
as well as thickers, stamps and Tim Holtz.
Now I need to mail them out.

Traveler's Notebook - Happy Easter

I love this bunny.
It is a stamp, one that my pal Holli owns and
I love that she shares.
So I stamp a lot of these bunnies on white and cream
cardstock and then I fussy cut and they are so
cute you can tuck them anywhere.
Since this was an Easter page, the bunny totally rocks.
The bunny is resting on a premade tag.
Love it when a plan comes through.
 LOL!

Easter Cards

These were a lot of fun to do.
I love pinterest.
Just need a jumping off point.
The card I did pick out had the bunny coming in
from the side.
I couldn't seem to make that happen without it
looking, well, stupid.
So full bunny face looking front.

I did hand draw the ears, used my circle cutter
to draw a pencil circle and fussy cut that too.
A hole punch provided the eyes with white ink and
yes, I DREW in the whiskers and mouth.
And an itty bitty heart punch for the nose.
I am DRAWING.
Who knew.
Do I girlied up the bunny with those cute prima/recollections
flowers and sequins. Sorry grandsons LOL.

It was a lot of fun.

The Easter bunny came

Used this really old paper from Studio Calico and
that dictionary transparency.
Don't the transparency make you swoon. It does me and that's
the last of it.
Love that boy/girl stamp from Kenner Road.
Kids are getting older now but that won't stop me
from using a "young" stamp.
 AND A BOTTLECAP.
Told you so.
The colors just happened to work.
 And that bunny.
Ain't he cute.

Easter baskets for my nieces

We had a wonderful time Easter with the family
and my 2 nieces are beautiful and lots of fun.
Of course we had the egg hunt, which they may or may not
be too old for but the adults had fun with it LOL.

Of course there's candy in it and I made the baskets from
those green plastic things strawberries come in
so I had to cram a lot of stuff in those bad boys that
didn't really work out well so I had to wrap them.
As you can see my wrapping skills are less than stellar.

So in addition to candy I added a stuffed bunny because
who doesn't love a pretty stuffed bunny
and each of them have the little mini albums I made
a bit ago and you can see them here and here.

Once again cards...

Happy Easter!!!
Once again my pal Holli came through.
We spent the day together- mostly going through
Tuesday Morning to see what goodies they had going on.
And since the mojo was on a break I shopped
her stamp section (I'm telling you Michael's would
be jealous) and found the chicks and bunnies
so I stamped a bunch of them while
we chit-chatted - and watercolored them in and then
when I got home fussy cut all of them out
while watching TV.

How cute are they.
Now to get them in the mail.

Got a slow start on NSD with the mojo

I didn't plan on NSD, it just happened.
I finished a gift album between laundry, vacuuming and
general cleaning and found I had some time
on my hands.
As I was looking through my download folder I
realized there were some pix that were NOT scrapped.
Oh the horror.
I started out slow because I found that I didn't
have a whole lot of Easter paper leftover....so adjustments
needed to be made.
And the paper was kind of little-kid-looking and
these guys are a bit older so...
more adjustments needed to be made.
I therefore sparingly used the kiddy papers and added
some old Jillybean Easter stuff I had stashed
and some die cuts and wa-la
A page.
Connor rounded up the eggs.

Our Easter on a PL Page

We had a wonderful day hanging and dining with family and friends.
The weather was delightful resulting in dining
on the lanai and a fun egg hunt
resulting in lots of prizes for hunters.

However, they did miss an egg. LOL.
Gladys and I found it the next day.
And I already had the page made and didn't
want to change the photos.

Cute little bunny butt envelopes I stole off the internet

And I'm so happy I found this idea for the grands
and I had all the supplies on hand
and busted some stash.
Total win-win.
And ain't they stinkin' adorable.
So I glued their butts to the front of the envelope
in order to tuck something behind.
Thanks to my pal Holli - when I indicated that
I wanted some type of carrot thing to
tuck in so it would look like the bunny was
jumping in after it she told me
about these reeses pieces carrots.
I pondered a real carrot for a brief moment
 but that would be mean
for Easter lol.
So I debated in the store because the carrots are
huge but figured no harm no foul
if they didn't fit.
But they did fit sort of.
Now to mail them off in time.
I made 12 of them - 10 for the grands
and the other 2 for my two nieces that will be
at our house for Easter.
I love the internet.

cotton tails.
Now all I need to remember to do is mail them.

Birds of a feather came to camp

We celebrated Easter a bit different this year.
Instead of a formal dinner with ham and sides we took the RV
over to Nokomis intercoastal and "camped."
We had cowboy coffee, wine, chips and dips and
shrimp on the barbee.......with some delish sides.
And some feathered friends flocked in for a visit.
My BIL & SIL also brought their bird book and binoculars.
I had my Tamron 18-275 lens in case you care.
The bird book sort of helped as you will see - though it
wasn't above having a great debate.
Which was fun.
The color of bills, feet, crowns and eyes are very important
in the determination of the bird.
A great blue heron - not quite seeing the blue though.
The hawks had some drama going on which was
interesting to watch.
Male and female protecting the nest from an evil seagull.
 Crisis averted.
Nest was secured.
(above waaaay in the back were some pelicans circling).
This plucky little bird is a yellow crowned night heron.
 Not quite seeing the yellow.
And does not the photo below look fake??
I can totally assure its not and I'm doing a happy dance
with this shot.
And last but not least a great egret.
Couple of greats going on - and I have to admit it was great
that they came so close as I never
moved from my chair to get this shoots.
I know.
This guy was on the hunt - and he was totally focused.
 Very very focused.....
and then
ker-splash
Did he get the fish or not????
Not.
But a fun shot all the same.

A couple of cards for Easter

Made these little cards for the grands and sent them little packages with
stickers and paints.
You can never have too many stickers.

I'm sure the parents will be thrilled - at least
it wasn't noise making stuff.
I need to note that for the future though.

This is really old Jillybean Soup papers and I fussy cut the peeps out
and matched the assorted number of peeps to kidlets.
I made the cards alike because I'm creative that way
and its really the only Easter papers I have.

I seriously need to work on my card making skills
why they baffle me - I don't know.
