In keeping with the big sun flower theme

Because I fussy cut quite a few.
My pal Holli allowed me to stock up on these using
her stamps before hitting the road.
And I was in a fussy cutting mood because nothing
else was happening.
Anyway, this photo is on paper like the one in Friday's post.
Happens to be my 4th great grandmother and her
granddaughters. Got it off ancestry.
How cool is that.
So there is an official heritage page in my ancestry albums.
But I knew the photo would be great with the big flower.
This is Tim Holtz all the way, except for the flower.
And maybe the diecut/stamp lady.
I also used the new TH stamp & stencil set.

Birthday card for a friend

I love these big, huge sunflowers, again my pal
Holli's stamp that I made a few of
and you will be seeing again, is so pretty.

Who doesn't love a sunflower and when was
it not a good idea to use a sunflower.
Anywhere.

I stamped the sunflower in black on some
really textured cardstock.
I mucked around using gelatoes to give it
more color and shadows.
The inside is kinda of plain here but
I did more and tucked it in the envelope and
licked the flap.
So if you'll use your imagination,
I splattered brown gelato about and
stamped an adorable old-timey bunny peeking
out from behind the sign on cream
colored cardstock.

It's really cute.
You should see it.

Recollections, Prima stamp, gelatoes.

Sunflowers appear to be popular this year

Got some more grands in the sunflower field
and it looks like they were having fun.
I love sunflowers and out west they are abundant and
beautiful everywhere.
So I do own a sunflower stamp and used it here
because why not.
Had some issues with the ole nuvo dots (and who doesn't)
but I feel it adds to the charm because
flower and particularly their center are not perfect.
Tossed about some watercolors as well and
doesn't that envelop make you swoon.
Love the rustic-ness it brings.

I'm very glad that the grandkidlets (all of them)
are total posers and I get a lot of photos
otherwise wouldn't have a lot of to scrap about really.

An 8x8 of PinkFresh except for the hello (studio calico)
and no clue about the stamp - probably from M's.

I'm thinking posts will be slim this week with Thanksgiving prep
even though my sweet SIL is taking over.
How about you?
Got stuff rolling???

Nebraska rolling hills and wild sunflowers

Couldn't resist this structure.
 These sunflowers are EVERYWHERE.
In fields, by the side of the road.
 Even near fences.
And rivers...of course they're facing the sun - not me.
Bales of hay and rolling hills.
This was the curvy, bumpy, dirt road on our way
to an out of the way campsite.
In a state wildlife refuge and this was our view
from Alkalai Fish camp.
We kept our windows open all night.
And it was pretty in  the morning as well.

Love these out of the way places.
It was as serene and idyllic as it looks.
