Project Life page for Goldwell Open Air Museum

If you read my last post, it never alluded to the weird
size the project life pages are.
This is the back side of Death Valley.
The Last Supper and vignette of the crucifiction
just pulled me in.
The artist's rendition is soooo hauntingly beautiful.
This museum was on the way from Rhyolite on the
way to Death Valley........
Put all three on your bucket list.

Goldwell open air museum

What a cool find on our way to see the ghost town
of Rhyolite on our way to Death Valley.
It was a busy day.
 Interesting pieces.
Tried to get the prayer/meditation circle in.
All those rocks were placed very precisely.
And look way back in the background and just take a guess.
It is this artist's rendition of the Last Supper.
 And Jesus in the garden.
This appears to be a maidenhead from a ship.
But it seriously ties the entire vignette together.
These are puppets from the Speeltheater Holland Studio and
these puppets are out in the weather on purpose to show the process of decay.
They encourage selfies with the puppets and what the photos
sent to them to use in their final installation.
 In honor of the miners.
Very cool.
Such a beautiful area.
The mountains ever steady ever changing.

Strolling around The Desert Museum

Bighorn Sheep.

 Bobcat.
 Seahorses holding tails.
 Eels.
 Gila monster?
 Harris Hawk.
 Named Grumpy.
I love birds of prey.
 It was fuzzy and yellow.
 The hummingbird house.
This is a momma feeding the baby and the
the big fluffy one is the baby.
I could've stayed all day with these maniacs.
They really are very active and chatty.
They also were quite good posers.
 Female cardinal.

It was a beautiful, hot day.
In the desert.
