A couple page in my TN and its ALMOST completed. Have a bit of Halloween going on and Antelope running. We almost had a run-in with antelope on one of the 4 lane highways in the western states. They're a squirrelly bunch- ran right in front of us, twitched about, and STOPPED and we totally DID NOT HIT THEM by the grace of God. Seriously. We were in suspended animantion (only way I can explain it) while the antelope hung out on our right front end on our RV while traffic blew around us. AND WE DID NOT HIT THEM. I would've went through our front window and others on the highway would've not ended well. So blessed.

Some TH going on and I finally used some washi.
I see everyone ELSE using washi and it totally rocks.
I try it.
And in my mind - a total disaster LOL.
I'm gonna keep practicing.

Halloween cards

🎃I actually finished the cards for the grands. It started out innocently enough making a card for Ashton and he’s not quite a year. I didn’t want to scare the pants off of him so I found this cute stamp set that I bought on the whim that are LDRS creative stamps and it has cute little dogs so I decided it was cute for him. I thought it was too cutsey for the older ones but changed my mind. . and yes I fussy cut out way more critters than I needed Shockingly my fingers weren’t happy 😆 also, I didn’t make them quite as cookie-cutter as I usually do. Moved the moon around which was fun in changing everthing else up.

ALOT OF FUSSY CUTTING.
There were 6 dies of the animals so I made 10 of each because
I thought I would need that many for the cards.
Silly me.
However, it was great to have a big selection.
Only count I got right were the bats.
And because the moon was on black paper I used enamel ink.

Halloween tags for the grands

I really had a great time doing the tags.
Normally I do cards but I wanted to do something different
so tags it is.
I also send $1 being the big spender that I am
and I'll be attaching them on the back with
double sided tape.
I love how they turned out.
And I'm also impressed that I used stash AND I was
able to get those Tim Holtz dies done.

That Halloween die with the 4 characters has a lot of itty bitty parts.
I so do NOT do well with itty bitty parts.
Howver, I did find out that
IF YOU DO ONE CHARACTER AT A TIME AND REFER
TO THE PICTURE ON THE FRONT OF THE PACKAGING
THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE ONE CAN GET
A FAXSIMILE THERE OF
OF THE CHARACTER.
Just sayin....
Anyway it worked for me as I tried to do them all at once.
Total disaster.

I did some fussy cutting and the background was made from
Tim Holtz oxides and distress inks.
Sadly I didn't make notes but basically,
yellow, orange, brown and black.

TN - Halloween

So Halloween caused me to stop and think.
Scary but true.
Normally with all the grandkids they would get
separate pages.
But NOW, because I'm pairing down and
my 12x12's will be going into storage,
I waited for all postings of said grandkidlets
and put them in a double spread in my
traveler's notebook.
 Go ME!!!!!
Using some stamps and fussy cutting I made the
bats and the spiders, pumpkins and ghosts.
I also SKIPPED pages in my book to find
the pattern paper that would work with my very
scary Halloween page.
And when my TN's come to light
it's up to the parents to figure out who gets what.
Bwaahahaha..
Win-win.

I keep trying to use up all the Halloween stuff

But it seems to no avail LOL.
Oh well there is fun in the trying.
Very old stamp-it says Clear Stamp
This is a total mishmash of whatever paper I had laying about.
Would you believe there are no strips with mfg names on them?
Shocking I know.
fun stuff.
Now I just need to remember to mail them.

Halloween pages

Instead of stretching them out I decided to
just roll with all of them...
So first up is 8.5x11 of Sam and Lou
(Simba and a witch)
So adorable.
Did you notice the color of the paper matches
Lou's witchy face?
Love that.
Miss Amelia decided to be a cat.
She has some homemade spiders going on -
buttons, cardstock legs and goofy eyes.
Nothing says spooky like that.
Her paper maybe Echo Park (not sure) I mixed
a bunch of lines here. So my bad.
Next up is Owen and Annie and if
they hadn't been standing side-by-side I would've
never guessed Owen as Michael Jackson.
And Thriller is perfect.
They totally rocked that.
Got some G45 going on - Fussy cut the title which is
perfect with MJ's & the witches look.

We are headed out again in the RV - going to see my dad
in Tennessee and then slide up the Mississippi
River again checking out the blues and food.
Also hoping for some pretty fall trees but I'm thinking
we're a bit too late for that.

Halloween cards

And for once I'm ahead of the game.
GO ME!
Anyhoo, instead of making the cards exactly the same this year
I used the tons of stuff leftover from prior years;
a mix of Echo Park and K&Company stickers
and cut aparts.
I'm hoping that I can do that for future cards as well.
I also tried to keep in mind that the age range of grands
is from 3-15 so I'm trying to make
cards age appropriate-sort of LOL!
Now to remember to mail these badboys out in time!

One last Halloween page (maybe)

Still hanging with Holli when this page evolved
and did add some touches when it
came home
like enamel and Nuvo dots.
 And those itty bitty hearts.
Aren't they adorable.
Which doesn't lend much to a "scary" page.
However, Pokemon ain't that scary.
Well we do have some sort of "Freddy" there in the background.
Again, shopping at Holli's was fun and that candy
(which is the title) makes me want to open it up and eat it.
All in all it was a fun, productive day
and the mojo seems to be sortof returning.
Haven't scrapped since but sometimes a break is a good thing.
More K&Co.

The mojo is getting a bit better

On Halloween - as stated Holli and I got together
and she had this fun, cool spider.
And now he's mine!
It was still painful putting this page together
but it was getting a bit better.
If it weren't for all those Decisions..... LOL
She also had this cool spider that made my day
and that sign, and those enamel dots.
Holli has a lot of cool stuff.

So this paper is K&CO and very busy so of course I added to it with 4 photos.
Love these photos of the grands. Such diverse costumes.
Very FUN and the photos too precious.
Sam - Spider man and Lou -the bunny and I really need to get
more informed on cartoons (which I love BTW) because I am not
up to speed on that rabbit.
Maybe if I google it - BRB!
Found it!!
Judy Hopps a Disney Character from Zootopia.
Whew!

It was one of those mojoless times

and it happened when my pal Holli and I got together
at her place to scrap.
How uncool is that.
However, I persevered and got to thinking not all
pages have to be the "Mona Lisa" quality.
Sometimes you just have to glue things down and let go.
This Echo Park paper is really fun.
I did put the page together but after I brought it home it
seemed to be well plain.
So I added more mists and enamel and Nuvo dots about and
that really helped.
Also outlining in a sharpie helped.
I did a couple clusters of them as it was really fun.
I did put some itty bitty hearts to the mix
and that turned out really neat too.

Seriously, I agonized over this page and was like why.
However, it broke the ice and a couple of more
pages came so there's that.
And it's fun shopping at Holli's - she had some neat stickers
that helped the pages be special.

Don't forget to vote!

Advanced photo of Halloween costume

Because I'm the Grammy!
....And didn't that work out nicely.
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT'S NOVEMBER ALREADY!!!
SHEESH!

My pal Holli die cut this 12x12 scalloped page
and I love it.
I got carried away with the sewing mostly because
had I left it with one stitch line around it would've looked well dumb
because I really don't sew well. You would so not realize
from looking at my pages that I actually made
really really cool clothes back in the day.
And so the lines around were really really ugly.
This way it shows I meant to do that.
LOL.
Love it when a plan comes through.
A little cluster of pumpkins and a fussy cut black cat.
What's Halloween without a black cat.
oooo ooo and a stamped handmade "boo."
I love this title and had some leftover spider web so after stamping
and fussy cutting that spider in the web I added
Amelia's name on it.
I thought that was cool.
Love the little Frankenstein dude peeking out in the upper right.
Amelia is the cutest pirate - I love the parrot, I'd need a
parrot but I think birds are kind of freaky.
Cool, seriously but freaky.
I really love doing die cut shapes and
I think I have more of them - Holli got quite
carried away with the old die cutter when I was over there
and she has dies that OMG makes me green with envy.
Now if I can only remember where I put them.
Sigh.
Echo park.
Except for black cat and spider - no clue.

It was one of those pages

That really didn't come together easy.
I couldn't make up my mind about anything.
Well except the base paper, and the star stamp
came in a really cool  stampin' up set with a girly skull and bones
and I really wanted that on the page too
but its HUGE, and didn't quite work out - so in
with the heart that wasn't quite so big.
Another 8x8 page - seems I'm rolling with
that size and decided to go crazy.
Love the owl and birdcage was a lot of fun.
A sort of title on the heart like a ransom note.
It just seemed to work.
Do you ever get stuck on a title for your blog
never mind one for your page.
I really wanted something fun with the witch hat and helmet
but alas none come to mind.
And like who doesn't have an issue with stickers.
Like sticking your finger in when wet.
Or outlining a word and then sticking your finger in it.
However, it works, sortof.  Especially when its faraway. LOL.
It's a fun photo and I had fun making a quirky page.
I know she loves Frozen so there's a little
character tucked in there and of course that owl.
The owl, leaves and cage remnants from my die cut box.
Amelia having fun dressing up as a witch to go bike riding -
Halloween in June. Why not.

Halloween cards

Yes I ventured into the card realm.
I don't do it very often because cards baffle me.
I don't know why.
So I stamped a bunch of things and cut them out.
And I did a bunch - when I finally
figured out when my hand cramped that maybe
they all didn't need to be whacked.
Therefore I have extras.
Alot of extras.
Let me know if I can help in your Halloween endeavors.
OH and that's Tim Holtz's spider web that I had
forever. Glad I remembered and used it.
With white ink - that looks grey.
I'm diggin' that.
I used a combo of Clear Stamps & CraftSmart Stamps.

I made them a bit different and decided to batch them
as I had 9 to do for the grandkidlets. It just seemed more efficent
and less stressful.
I really liked the ghosts as you can tell - and they
did stamp with two eyes but I didn't
have smaller eyeballs to now they look like minions.
Gasp.
Should've made them yellow.
The inside has more ghosts, spiders and bats and
a sentiment.
Either Happy Halloween or Trick or Treat.
Its my way of being creative.
LOL.

This is a title + photo that'll make you sing...

In your best Mighty Mouse voice.
HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY!!!
Miss Amelia as her alter ego HulkSmash, sortof like
dressed as Capt. America.
She also knows how to rock a faser.
I have really lost track of superheroes and I obviously
need to bone up. This is serious stuff.
When I saw the photo I knew
what my title would be immediately.
You just can't help it. I know I couldn't.
And I couldn't wait to scrap it - and this paper just bounced
into my hand - it was green.
It made the photo POP.
And then I saw the "life is beautiful" paper and I
knew I just had to reconcile the green
and black in my head.
Why?
I don't know.
It seemed weird which is weird because the coolest
Halloween papers are black and green.
However, I think I used every
green thing I had regardless of shade or tone.
And didn't it work.
Well it worked for me LOL!!!
And the pops of red - taken from the photo.

AND ON WEDNESDAY -
KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED THE BOOT COMES OFF!

Busy Busy papers

I'm not sure if this Bella Blvd paper could get any busier but I love it. It's so much fun to look at and see all the cute non-scary Halloween stuff. I tempered it with some less busy stuff and a good strong photo that pops off the papers. Adorable grandkidlets helps. Actually all is Bella Blvd except for the Recollections washi tape that helps to bring your eye to the photo and that adorable one-eyed purple people eater that is on a spring. Different colored sparkly thickers bring it all in. Sully 'n Boo. Doesn't get any cuter than that.

The ghouls & goblins came next

Love the Bella Blvd papers, added clear stamps, some
ranger spiced marmalade and had some orange twine & dear lizzy
frames from another kit to use.
I bought additional papers in this line because I loved
the border strips and also the B side so I really really needed 2 more sheets.
JUST IN CASE.
Fun fun in the dress up department, Amelia is a cyclops monster.
Never heard of that, well I know about cyclops just not in a kid
friendly kind of way, Cavin was a soldier and Quintin a ninja.
Got all the bases covered.
I feel better already.
So I'm not sure if the flow is off kilter or just me. I became kind of
frustrated because I became all about the spiders and I left
them at home. I stamped spiders and tediously cut them out and used
some black gelato on them.
But I wasn't happy. So when I got home I hunted down
those elusive spiders I had in my stash
and replaced them.
They are way more believable and cooler than the ones I did.
And leftover stash from in washi tape from Halloween past.
Love that.

4 pages so far, if you're counting. I know I was because I was
totally shocked at how much I got done with all
the goofing around that was going on.
Because I participated in it all.
It couldn't be helped.
