Travelers Notebook - Shaker card

Love this sentiment and figured it belonged in my notebook.
It's so cool because photos are not needed all the time.
And on the flip side, I found this card.
Almost ready made to add sequins.
 Which I did.
First time Ever.
I think I'll figure out how to do it again.

No clue who the mfg is.

Travelers Notebook - Hello Beautiful

This started with multiple project life cards
that totally fit this particular photo.
And it didn't quite need an entire page to celebrate.
Actually it's quite fun.
I also made that fuzzy paperclip - because it's fun.

And there's the flip side - OUR NEW FRIDGE!
Which is beautiful.
And a long time coming.
We left last week to zip up to Lazy Days in Wildwood to
get a new fridge installed.
It was supposed to be 2 days - we stayed a week.
Of course.
The fridges that they make for RVs are really bad -
REAL BAD.
They are tiny.
They don't keep a steady temperature.
They ruin food.
They make you crazy because they aren't reliable.
SO....
we had a residential fridge installed.
Yay!
However, because of that we also needed a new inverter
to keep the fridge cold when we are not plugged in.
It had to be ordered.
It had to be installed.
It happened to be the wrong part.
It had to be reordered.
It had to be installed.
It had taken a week total.

BUT, we were able to camp in the parking lot.
And we did whatever we wanted during the day and had
a spot overnight.

This fridge is a game changer.
It's the little things or in this case the big things.

Travelers Notebook - Loving this

I just had to test out my new prize.
10x pro.
And this is the wide angle lens.
How cool is that.
AND
the place looks half-way decent
😉
And a bit of a glimpse of my scrappy area.
stage left. LOL.
This is home and we love it.
It's kinda neat - that wherever we are..
we are home.

Kept it kinda simple - some tissue paper and I do not
remember the mfg of the other embellishments.
I need to quit consolidating without the packaging.
😐

Travelers Notebook - more ephemera

Whoops I cut the top of smidge.
That's an itty bitty yellow heart.
And if you look down isn't that
"burger" the cutest.
Oh and the adorable geo tag for the apostrophe in
the title. Clever eh?
Also found my phrase stamp and went
a bit of a stampede. LOL.

Had a lovely time with family at Ford's Garage
which is a really neat place.
They use A LOT of things that belong in a
garage - like hose clamps for napkin rings which
they quickly collect LOL.
There's tires for sinks and onion rings come
on oil funnels.
Fun and kitchy.
Makes great burgers.
The ephemera came with my order
and it was delish.

Travelers Notebook - Bad Hair Day

LOL.
I have traveled the country over and
found Walmart Hair Salons do a pretty good job.
It's hard to get into a regular salon, so on
the road, this worked.
Until here.
Sigh.
All I wanted was to get the mullet I had going on gone.
LOL.
So ole Larry took the clippers and bam - really
really really short in the back.
Mullet gone.
But the top was just not right. So I went
back to WM a couple days later,
but not to ole Lar and had it fixed.
Which made it all shorter.
Like a pixie.
I haven't had a pixie since I was was 5.
Okay may it was until the 7th grade but still.
This is the back of the envelope.
Love that sentiment from the PL cards.

Studio Calico, some real old PL cards, washi.

Travelers Notebook - Let's chat

Just a quick page to document having pizza with friends.
Not a very good photo but there ya go.
Keeping it simple with the embellishments and
not really a lot of journaling going on,
but times like these need to be included.

Some studio calico - I need to keep packaging but
with limited space it tends to get discarded.
Soooo..I can't even guess. LOL.

Travelers notebook - using ephemera

I have started to collect stuff from restaurants, et all. Especially if it has the logo and especially if they're envelopes. So for Valentines day - it was laid back for us, except for the call from the Apple store to pick up my laptop. It needed a battery, and of course, my laptop the battery is glued in tight so naturally a professional is required. And a new keyboard. Woohoo!!!!

Anyway, I used this red tag, tucked it in between the pages, because I felt V-day did not require a full page. So, fun die cut and enamel hearts on the front (and a premade leftover V-day title) and the journaling on the back.

Travelers Notebook - double page spread

Superbowl Sunday - we had a blast!
Hanging out with our friends and what a delish spread
we had going on.
When I first put the TN together - I whacked up a lot of white pages
and then decided to toss in some colored pages.
I think they work pretty good together.
There is also a transparent overlay "good times" that I've had
stashed FOREVER.

My new 7x9 mixed media album

I JUST KNOW YOU'RE EXCITED!!
I am because it's really fun.

I decided that the pages needed to be gessoed even
though it's deemed a "mixed media" book.
Canson from Hobby Lobby - and it does keep
the pages flat and it does "smear" different.

Tell me you can see a "horse" in this photo
or maybe a "knight"?
as in chess?
And yes it's quite purple.

 Love the colors on this.
I'm quite diggin' the bigger size I am really
getting bored with small sizes.
I'm so used to doing whatever size I please.
I miss that.
This turned out quite monochromatic and soft.
Pretty.
 And then I got bored.
I broke out the dylusions and just went for it.
Mostly just smeared the paint around and
decided that some black dots were needed so
I broke out this huge stamp.
And went to town.
 These colors are fun too.
Just smearing the watercolors all over
using the packaging technique.
And then I broke out the dylusions again.
I found that even "I" as unartistic as I am
can do swirls with a paint brush.
It took FOREVER for the paint to dry.
And it some cases it really wasn't totally dry.
I like it.
And of course nothing is complete without black splatters.

So now I have completely different paints
bright and soft.
While it's cool - it does blow the whole concept of
cohesiveness throughout.
Unless.............

Watercolor album pages - scrapped!

Well I know you've seen these before.
Several times I'm sure.
However, they were so much fun I decided that
in some cases photos are now required to grace the pages.
Since I had an extra photo of our campsite and since  it
just fit perfectly on this page
that had already been stamped with a title
made it very easy to pull this page together.
 My psychedelic
winged granddaughter was perfect for
this wildly colored page.
Love the sentimentsand I handcut the title.
I KNOW.
I've been totally watching way too
much of Lisa Fonseca on u-tube.
LOOK HER UP.
She hand-draws
EVERYTHING.
and everything is stinkin'
ADORABLE.

But it works with the psychedelic vibe
 - LIKE totally.
I cannot express how hard it was for me to put that handmade title out there
because it's not "perfect."
(Like my pages are perfect LOL, but.....)
But I'm over that now and may do it more often.
And the music man worked because it was already
titled "dream a little dream".
Owen could be a rockstar if
he keeps working at it  and practicing
one day he'll be a gifted musician.
Guitar, keyboard, sax (to name a few).
This book has been really fun.
From creating the watercolor pages to finding
the perfect photos to grace the pages
along with the perfect embellishments.

So stamps and diecuts and thickers and words and stickers.
Oh my........

Valentines for the grands

PINTEREST STRIKES AGAIN!
They turned out to be really fun.
Love that owl - M's I believe for like a $1.
I do need to work on my fussy cutting.

Cardstock, hero arts, washi.
And who doesn't love googly eyes.

Changing things up - Life is sweet album

Found this photo floating about and it's one of my all time favorite.
Because how often do I get a photo this great.
Seriously.
I'm an amateur that gets lucky every now and then
and this handsome dude came into our camp
and posed ever so prettily.
For quite some time.

Studio calico except for the banner which I think
is Bo Bunny and some cool washi.

Traveler's Notebook - surgery

Nothing life shattering - but carpral tunnel.
In both hands - no less - but I have been typing
for over 30 years and mousing forever - so there ya have it.

Anyway pictures were taken during surgery - it was laparoscopic.
In the second photo - that's the knife splitting the tendon.
Both hands were done within 2 weeks of each other
and is healing quite nicely.
No tingling, no sharp pain.
Now if there was only a simple solution for the dupuytrens
or viking hand.
Fun stuff
😜

Traveler's Notebook - Our winter home

We decided to go for an annual site at this beautiful RV park because
                                           A. it's beautiful
                                           B. we love it here.
                                           C. we have a guarenteed winter home (because seriously where else)
And because we have our own spot
I can plant pineapples, herbs and whatever else.
It is ours do with what we want.
It is ours and no one can camp in it.
It is home.
Actually home is wherever we park it.
Love that.

Traveler's Notebook - Venice Jetty

Took a trip to the Venice Jetty. It was a beautiful
day and chock full of
 fishermen, posers, boats,
dolphins, etc. everything you'd want in a jetty.
It's always a happening place.

Would you look at this poser.
Quite the model.

Used really old Authentique withe some Quickutz dies, Martha
Stewart alpha punch
and it worked out really well.

TN- Solomon's castle

Of course it has to be scrapped.
I love this side-by-side stuff.
Anyhoo, I added different sized pages in my traveler's notebook
because I love working in different sizes.

I miss that.

I was so used to working from 6x6, 6x12, 8x8, 8.5x11 and 12x12.
I would let the photo dictate the size.
They'd also ALL be included in my 12x12 album.
It was so fun and never boring.
I highly recommend it.

I digress.

It was fun at the castle and it's very unique and a must see
at least once.
There is so much to see and I love that the strips show
the details around the property.

I fussy cut some really old Studio Calico, Martha Stewart
alpha punch (LOVE) and various embellishments.

TN - You're Invited

How cool that I found this project life card that has probably been around for awhile.
And it was perfect.
We were invited to our cousin's wedding,
a small affair and one where I only needed them
to be the star of my page.
So attached to the back of the project life card is their photo
and a bit of embellishment and journaling.
And of course, I had to create a card and I
wanted it to be girly-pretty.
And, of course, pinterest rocks again.
This is a "lift" of a card I found and it had an embossed
front - I don't have any embossing so I tried to
mimic the look with white on white hearts.
And of Course a doily and bling.
I wanted a different sentiment on the inside and
I love that sentiment - it's perfect.

Used up some ole flowers that could be either prima or recollections.

Watercolor - album complete - Photo Heavy!!!

I really didn't have a plan when I started.
Shocking I know.
I just wanted to do something fun without an agenda.
So this is the FIRST page (after this NONE are in order
except for the LAST page)
Why it loaded out of order I have no clue.
Anyhoo.......👀
When I did the pages I did all the right side pages first
and then came back and did all the left side.
Some are complementary pages and some are
what the heck was I thinking LOL.
If you recall It started out as sunflowers and quickly
evolved into "scenes" because I don't do sunflowers
freestyle well.

 I incorporated stamping and stencils.
Some worked out well, and some as you can see above
right - cover up was required.
This one really had to be side-by-side because what else
can you do with a spider web.
It was a lot of fun to do.
Very freeing.
And extremely relaxing.
Not sure what I want to do but I did go out
and by another mixed media album like
this only BIGGER. Because honestly, I'm tired of small.
Actually, I LOVED doing ALL SIZES
and I miss that.
Some I included stickers on because why not.
And don't these rock?
I finally used the "because" stamp I had forever written
in Ali Edwards handwriting.
They have been in an out of the give away piles for years.
Glad I kept them.
Aren't you glad I didn't bore with doing the LEFT side
and THEN doing BOTH sides in posts. 😂
 You're welcome.
 Tried something different here.
No guts no glory eh?
Had to get in TH coffee stains because what book
would be complete without it.
 And the TH critters.
As you can see there were some stamping issues
but I can work with that.
And I think I removed that annoying butterfly too.
I must have been having quite the day for this one.
Very dark and "dramatic" LOL.
and yes I fussy cut those hearts out. I think I
ripped the page out because I didn't like the direction.
It's okay to think this is bizarre because I do.
No matchy matchy going on here.
I actually did the mushrooms twice.
Forgetting I already did it but one is ink
and one is modeling paste.
So it's different and allowed LOL.
No rules.
I had a leftover photo and it worked perfect
with this page. If you'll remember that I had that
"Our adventure together" already stamped on there.
I may or may not journal because this picture is in my TN.
Did the rainbow effect here because why not.
This is the last page and aren't you thrilled LOL.
Anyway, the TH critters are on the back cover and I wasn't paying
attention that it wasn't paper - because I screwed up
the stamping part - like twice (see above).

And that cover is slick so I had to wait forever so it wouldn't smear.
All in all I'm thrilled with this and can't wait to do another.
A bigger another.
😍
