White thread and splatters

I have used my sewing machine before

but this is the first time I just ran it around on the

pages making out of control circles.

Loving the grid and actually used my sewing

machine for this one.

And as you can tell I am one straight stitcher.

LOL.

I also need to erase my pencil lines.

DOH!

 Tossed some mists in the background because I could.

 and then it was fun decorating all the PL cards

and again, still not worrying about does it pertain.

Love that!

I believe this is the end of this kit although

I suspect some papers lurking about.

This was a fun day with friends at the seafood festival

and then a visit to the north jetty.

My pal Holli die cut this 12x12 scalloped page

and I love it.

I got carried away with the sewing mostly because

had I left it with one stitch line around it would've looked well dumb

because I really don't sew well. You would so not realize

from looking at my pages that I actually made

really really cool clothes back in the day.

And so the lines around were really really ugly.

This way it shows I meant to do that. 

LOL.

Love it when a plan comes through.

 A little cluster of pumpkins and a fussy cut black cat.

oooo ooo and a stamped handmade "boo."

 I love this title and had some leftover spider web so after stamping
and fussy cutting that spider in the web I added

Amelia's name on it.

I thought that was cool.

 Love the little Frankenstein dude peeking out in the upper right.

Amelia is the cutest pirate - I love the parrot, I'd need a
parrot but I think birds are kind of freaky.
Cool, seriously but freaky.

I really love doing die cut shapes and 

I think I have more of them - Holli got quite

carried away with the old die cutter when I was over there
and she has dies that OMG makes me green with envy.

Now if I can only remember where I put them.

Sigh.

Except for black cat and spider - no clue.

Lines and clusters

I had a vision when I started this page and

at the end I really didn't realize the vision but I still love the page.

I stamped the line across and used ribbon

and washi tape for this sequence of photos wanting to use

the lines as a "movement" and grounding.

 I kept the clusters really similar and near the photos
again to help in the grounding
especially since the lines aren't too straight.
I also wanted to use a lot of textures - thread, ribbon, washi
to work with the stamping.

 Using smaller photos they were able to be nestled in between
the lines with the clusters.

Since I had my QK emily out, I again, used this font

for the title using this green vellum

as well as for the photo mats.

I sewed around the edges and my machine

was totally wonky - so once I started I had to finish.

Sigh.

I added the journaling along the lines

and I think that pulls it altogether. It may not have

turned out to be my 'vision' but I like the end result.

Brand new Recollections mists I forgot about

Can you believe that?

Well I stashed them with my stash of inks where

oddly enough they don't fit back into now

and decided they needed to be used.

If you look below in the corner - You see a bit of them

as well as the rolling stamp I used just

to make the background a bit busier

because who doesn't love a busy background.

 I also added some droplets of each colors 

because it looks cool.

 I sprayed and rolled in 3 areas for the triangle.

 I love that huge tag and that is my last one. 

I totally need to get more of those.

Since I have my sewing machine back I decided that some

edging was required and zipped it around 3 times.

Good thing it really didn't need to be straight.

I totally love the dangly threads.

From the crop - fifth kit to page

I've taken this photo three times and still blurry.

Sigh.

I completed this page at home because I thought it needed sewing.

And to my shock nobody dragged a sewing machine to the crop.

LOL.

There are actually two thread colors - I first used a grey - and

it just didn't show up - so I went back over it with white.

Love the simple cluster with the bow and die cut.

 Added some thread just because I thought it looked cool there.

And wa-la.

I did different sewing things in different corners.

It helped I think.

I love the Studio Calico paper - it fits.

Love the Dear Lizzy stamp its a favorite.

A What not to do tutorial.....that does end well

My Studio Calico kit came with an Amy

Tangerine embroidry/stencil kit.

It comes with a variety of items; i.e., words,

punctuation, corners etc.

a mat, a punch and needle and thread.

 I chose the ampersand because well - why not.

Chose some paper, laid it out on the mat 

and punched away.

And then I proceeded to sew.

Using a back stitch and following the holes

it wasn't hard to do, remembering

to pull tight but not too tight as paper

is a bit more delicate than fabric.

 And then I noticed I got lost in the sewing 
and forgot it was an ampersand.
Don't do that.

I was sewing an 'S' and it wasn't until I got

to the doohicky (for lack of better word)

that I knew I screwed up.

 No worries. 

I could have pitched it and started over again

but I decided to

  carefully pull out all the thread

I had stitched and begin again.

And wa-la finished product.

I believe I'll be trying a couple more stencils.

Came out pretty good.

The paper is light blue with brown thread

and now its sitting on my desk 

waiting for a home.
