July 4th tags for the Grands-Update

 - Some assembly required...
🥸
Mostly cardstock with a dash of vintage photo ink
around which it looks like I forgot
to do on the kraft paper.

This took an assembly line (though I did a run-through on one card)
to see if what's in my head translates on paper.
The stars and liberty bell are
old Quickutz dies.
The itty bitty ones pop out of big USA letters so I
now have a bazillion USA letters in white
in case you're interested.
I was debating if I actually wanted to put them on a card
and decided nah...but It need something.
So I decided to maybe make it like a tag but it needed
some edging so I pulled in the color
from the bell - which I did remember to distress.
One in a row.
I love the banner sentiment even though it's obvious.
But I remembered I had this cool post card stamp that would
make it kind of a really cool tag.

I added some stamping to the back of the card
and I thought it turned out pretty cool.
TH stamps except for the stamp cancel.

Belated Birthday Card featuring Gertrude

Another birthday card for my granddaughter who
loves the color purple.
Would you believe I have like a gazillion pounds of paper
in my stash and NOOOO shade of purple in it.
Soooo....TH crayons to the rescue along with the
TH die Gertrude.
Not too many moving parts to Gertrude.
I like that.
I also jacked the sentiment "Be flamazing" that
originated from one of TH's makers.
LOVE IT.
And since I hail from FL - the flamingo is perfect.
My friend Brooke gave me the paper and
I have no clue the mfg. but I love it.
Also fussy cut some flowers for depth.

More flowers on the inside with some stickles going on
and homemade enamel dots with some black stickles.

Oh and I used my handwriting on the sentiments.
I had a good day with the penmanship.
Woohoo!

Belated birthday card

I can't believe I forgot a birthday - and the notification on
calender that has been set for EONS didn't
inform me.
😐
Anyhoo...I also have to admit that I totally jacked this
idea off the internet, however, didn't
keep track of the site.
My bad.
Honestly, I wish I had thought of it.
I actually wonder why I haven't.
🤣
So its basically cardstock of different colors
because why not.
It is adorable.
So this is Oliver a TH sissix die,
the alpha set - is an old Quickutz die called
Holiday.

Didn't realize how big it was but
I love it.

Jumped into the Junk Journal

because you can never have too much junk and journals/albums said no scrapbooker ever.

I DREW THAT EMU.

I really don't draw that well but wonky is really good or even thought I could
but goofy is okay in s/b'g.
It's been fun so it's all good.
The die behind the emu is new (as in just got it and have been lusting for it)
and love it in the background along with a snarky saying
. I didn't realize until now that
I used it on side by side pages 😐
its all good.
The other side is my parents with my dad's parents on their wedding day.

I've been following Susanne Rose Arts and
I love her well pretty much everything she does but I
starting a junk journal intrigued me so
here's another page.
So the pages with the cute toddlers - one is my mom
(see arrow pointing) and she came in second at a beauty contest.
I'm bummed that newspaper was torn on HER side
but some is better than none and does add that something something
to a heritage/junk journal page.
Very fun.

It is sooo much fun to do because your just glue
random pieces of paper, slap paint and gesso around artfully
and then do whatever you want.
I did find some of these pages perfect for some heritage
photos, mixing it with new and some pages
may or may not have pictues.
GASP!
I know.

Totally oldies but classic goodies in old cars

Okay so the scrapbooker in me LOVES this license plate.
Very Tim Holtzy.
Here we are parked at the drive in movies
and they have a real snack bar  set up.

Parked under the The Golden Gate bridge.

What museum would be complete without the hubcap tree.
It's actually a memorial which is very cool.

The infamous Delorean.
Love the murals.

So this car is very cool.
if you look very closely behind the steering wheel
there is like a jump seat
which the museum dude likened to a
seat where the bad kids go so mom can keep and
eye on them.
This is a 1917 Pierce Arrow.
Even in 1917 kids were bad LOL.

Seriously they don't make pretty cars anymore.
You can't even tell the makes apart anymore and no
creativity.

Here we are at the drive in cafe complete with
a juke box and everything.

And a coke truck which is
extremely cool looking.

This is a 1912 Stearns-Knight Runabout
CUSTOM MADE
They didn't do custom in the old days unless
money was involved.
Notice the jumpseat OUTSIDE the car.
The museum dude wasn't quite sure who sat there.
And look ma - no seat belts.

This one is sooooo yummy.
Look at that color.
Swoon.
1961 Nash.
And the first car to have an engine in the rear.
It didn't really go over well.
1948 Tucker.

And this is a 1938 American Bantam roadster.
Cool car but it sits like a go cart.
Your legs are straight out...and the pedals are
really tiny and close together.
And train set ups were involved and so cool.
I grew up around them between my Uncle Harold and dad.
Dad is in the process of setting one up now.
Hopefully he'll have it done soon.

This is a 1956 Cameo and what a pretty girly
truck. Aptly named I think.
And look there is Thomas the Tank Engine.
One of Shane's favorite.
They had pedals on the floor that worked the platforms and barns, carousels, etc.
Very fun stomping on the pedals and trying to figure out which ones moving.
