Traveler's Notebook - Happy Easter

I love this bunny.
It is a stamp, one that my pal Holli owns and
I love that she shares.
So I stamp a lot of these bunnies on white and cream
cardstock and then I fussy cut and they are so
cute you can tuck them anywhere.
Since this was an Easter page, the bunny totally rocks.
The bunny is resting on a premade tag.
Love it when a plan comes through.
 LOL!
Owen & Annie looking so grown up in their Easter outfits.

TN - Seashells on the Beach

I'm really diggin' the traveler's notebook
and it's getting quite full.
Only a couple of pages remaining.
I used a Studio Calico stamp to cover up
a premade saying that didn't quite go.
It was a beautiful, sunny day and we went to the North Jetty
and found to everyone's delight that the
beach was chockfull of shells.
Alot.of.shells.
Too numerous to count.
So I went into my die cuts and found the perfect
ones to go on the beach to accent the photo.
It was kind of fun to put them together for
this page.
Old school.
They found WAY TOO MANY shells and did
keep some really perfect ones to take home.
Can't wait to see what projects they make from it.

TN- Love this

The grands came down for a fun long (albeit)
short weekend and we had a great time.
We went to Myakka State Park, a fun
place to visit.
Lots of wildlife to see, trees to hug and
Grandpop to photobomb.
A good time was had by all.
And, shazam!
A great photo with no goofy faces.
Win!

TN - Oddly different entries

That I'm totally liking - just like my previous albums.
Scrapping whatever moves me at the time.
I like it.
So the page on the left - is our fun time with
the grands and ending a great day with ice cream and
a visit to a record shop.
Owen, loves all things music, and has a real
phonograph in which he plays real records. Very cool.

The page next to it is a photo of my grandfather
when it was about 5 years old that
has been hanging in my home for years.
I have passed that gem off to my cousin for safe keeping.
I have been using chunky bits in the notebook
and it hasn't been toooo fat.
Love that the bottlecap had Jersey Farms on it.
On the heritage page I found those stickers.
Very cool stickers - I did think they were rubons at first
which is why they langquished for a bit in the ole stash.
Love how its coming together.

The last 3 12x12 pages and a birthday card

We are headed out today for the east coast for the
grandkid tour carrying all those albums under our bed.

I made these pages prior to our decision to go full time
so these will be the last 12x12 pages which is kind of a bummer
because this is the second page of our Alaska trip.
Glacier Bay.
What a beautiful cruise that was - hanging out
or our balcony watching the glaciers go by.

Going a bit monochromatic on this page of Annie
and Owen first jump in the pool of the summer.
Pink Fresh.
Seems to be the time of summer and Amelia
is also hanging out in the cold waters of NH.
I stuck my toe in once.
It's cold.
Studio Calico.
Did some paint white paint strips and some
packaging technique with mists.
I'll still make cards and found this adorable minion
card on pinterest.
Love pinterest.
And who doesn't love a minion.
I just wish I thought of it myself LOL.

So because of the limited space in the RV I have
decided to roll with 8.5x11 and use project life type
with of course some full pages to save space
and I will also be doing a lot of Traveler's Notebooks
which is pretty apropos I think.

Times -they be-a-changing and it'll be a fun challenge.
Of course I'll still do the grandkids but
I may batch them for easier distribution at a later date.
Nothing set in stone.

Rock on!

Rock walls and scaling them seem to be a thing that
grandkidlets of all ages love.
Had a great time with the page.
I wanted a big arrow to mat the photo with so
I hand drew it (I know) and hand stitched with gray thread.
I'm getting better at the hole pokin' which is key.
Lots of clusters with lots of layers.
Had lots of fun with page.
Love the photo and Annie and Owen are headed toward the top.
It looks like fun except for the height.
I hate heights.

The Easter bunny came

Used this really old paper from Studio Calico and
that dictionary transparency.
Don't the transparency make you swoon. It does me and that's
the last of it.
Love that boy/girl stamp from Kenner Road.
Kids are getting older now but that won't stop me
from using a "young" stamp.
 AND A BOTTLECAP.
Told you so.
The colors just happened to work.
 And that bunny.
Ain't he cute.

Buttons galore and it won't be the last LOL

So instead of rolling with tags, I've changed to buttons.
Fair exchange.
Don't you find in your creative process that
one item just keeps on giving.
So the heart and arrow are there because
the blue strip just stops and it made me crazy.
Short trip.
Who doesn't love a kitty peeking out of a file folder.
I need to cut more folders.
LOL.
Or not, don't want to get obessed with them.
These are their school photos - my kidlets never had
really good photos - you can tell dad is a photographer.
They have those poses nailed.
I have wanted to use 1st and 3rd title ever since
I did their back to school page and
didn't use it.
I thought of it after everything was nailed down.
That ever happen to you?

Photoplay Christmas papers

From my LSS, along with some do-dads.
I fussy cut the banners out from some banner papers
and love how they look on the page.
As well as that moose.
Thanks to my pal Holli who keeps me supplied.
Went a bit of old school since the papers
were busy to highlight the
collage of photos.
I have been playing around with PicCollage ap
-they do have some free collages you can road test but
you it doesn't allow you to make many changes.
Anyone else use it???
Love to hear your comments.

Anyway cuteness overload on the grands on Christmas morning.

Rearranging things - Another purple photo

Another 8x10 backed on by 8.5x11 kraft paper
that replaced a lighthouse hanging in our kitchen
and yes, another printed purple picture
that I couldn't toss.
I had a lot of space in this photo and some
stuff that wasn't necessary so I covered it up with a tag
that holds some journaling.
You might remember this photo from our trip
this year and its also in my road trip album.
 Found some oversized title too
and why not.
Also those cute little whale stamps (gifted from Holli)
and seriously when and I'm gonna ever gonna use a whale stamp.

Used some mists

Love that the title already had splats on it and it
fit this page nicely.
And the old library card makes me swoon.
And these feathers in combo with the feathers is very cool.
I used some ranger mists on the background as well as
some stamps to give some dimension.
(Trying to get those stamps in there - I have a ton)
This was a fun page to do and I love the colors.
Doesn't that yellow door make you swoon?
Anyhoo, Annie and Owen headed back to school with
mixed excitement.
They love learning but had such a great summer
it's hard to get back to the swing of it.

I just love this ant paper

that seriously, who loves ants really LOL!
Anyway its totally cute and
since I didn't have a picnic photo to go with
which would be totally too predictable.
So.....
So what goes well with black and white?
RED.
I love red.
It's my favorite color but you wouldn't know it
by looking in my closet.
Love this photo of Annie and Owen in the woods
and Owen giving Annie a brotherly smooch.
Since I couldn't find the word smooch the size of kiss
well........there ya go.

Fun Doodlebug Easter page

This is a totally adorable line with lots of
colorful, fun papers.
I had to fussy cut that sweet bunny out as
and embellishment.
Using the packaging technique with watercolors
to highlight the papers and another fussy cut emblellishment
that I added bows for a fun look.
 Funny story about the hearts.
I made a TON of them.
I originally got the papers to make Easter cards
for the grands. I wanted to make shaker cards, hence the
different cut styles.
Well....
they turned out to be an absolute disaster.
I didn't have the correct see-through stuff, using some
"transparency" instead of acetate, there was glue everywhere
and all the sequins and stuff kept falling out.
Therefore, they were scrapped and now I have a lot
of hearts that you may or may not see as photos of the
grands roll in.
Love how it turned out- the "title" is really
older K&Co.
Doodled around the page with a yellow sharpie.
Annie and Owen lookin' good in their Easter outfits.

Another sweet 4x4 album done!

I picked this baby up for about $2.00 from Hobby Lobby.
Its Paper Studio brand - and I really love doing 4x4's.
Seriously.
They make terrific gifts - however, I needed more 4x4
page protectors that I found at Michael's.
So I'm spreading the wealth LOL.
So most of the stuff I used was Studio Calico and Pink Fresh.
And bits and pieces I had rolling around
There are about 20 inserts in there - however the last 4
have just filler stuff in them.
Figured they could toss some photos in if they'd like.
This one is going to Tom's daughter's family and I'll
be prowling around for another 4x4 buy.
I didn't show all the photos because there were alot.
You're welcome 😗

I picked out my favorite photos of which
the majority of them are on 12x12  pages or other sizes stashed in my albums.

Not quite the autumn look I was going for

Another page that was giving me fits this week.
I really wanted to use some pretty autumn looking papers
BUT
somehow a different direction was dictated.
This is one of the background pages I made for the previous page
this week that was giving me fits.
So I am on a design roll too as I seem
to be going with the design down the middle -
and that's okay.
The same yet different 😏
The watercolors just seemed to work.
So I added the moose for that autumn woodsy look.
LOL.
I'd really like to know what's cracking them up.

So this is Bazzil, Bella Blvd, Studio Calico and Pink Fresh.

Since I can't do a cutfile

But I love the results, I try to "create" my own.
These are nesting dies/cookie cutter from Quikutz
and I rearranged them in the background for
 a faux "cutfile."

 Is that own not adorable?
Picked them up at WM for 97 cents.
Love how it made a fun background, and
I tend to do something similar
with circles.
Very fun photo and the kidlets are always going for the ears.
LOL.
All Pink Fresh except for the hearts-bella blvd, owl-WM and tassel.

It was one of those mojoless times

and it happened when my pal Holli and I got together
at her place to scrap.
How uncool is that.
However, I persevered and got to thinking not all
pages have to be the "Mona Lisa" quality.
Sometimes you just have to glue things down and let go.
This Echo Park paper is really fun.
I did put the page together but after I brought it home it
seemed to be well plain.
So I added more mists and enamel and Nuvo dots about and
that really helped.
Also outlining in a sharpie helped.
I did a couple clusters of them as it was really fun.
I did put some itty bitty hearts to the mix
and that turned out really neat too.

Seriously, I agonized over this page and was like why.
However, it broke the ice and a couple of more
pages came so there's that.
And it's fun shopping at Holli's - she had some neat stickers
that helped the pages be special.

Don't forget to vote!
