Traveler's Notebook - Is completed

I did dither about on the ending because it
was getting quite thick
BUT
as I got to thinking - we are headed back
and our next stop is in the panhandle of Florida
to turn in our votes and
we'll be there 5 days so that can be the
start of our 'winter' in Florida part
of our adventure so...

This is our ride to eventually get to Florida
and this autumny goodness had to be included
mostly because I actually bought Autumn
things at the 'scrapbook' shop in a fabric shop in
Bar Harbor Maine.

On the back are more Autumn scenes mostly because
I set them aside and forgot that I wanted them
set apart. OOOPS.
I didn't have many photos for SC really because we didn't.
So that page for the one thing we actually
went to sightsee.
And yes I broke the don't have photos on both
sides rule - so we all know about rules.
LOL.
Of course it was a lighthouse and that tree
is the last bleached tree that covered the beach.

I did decided I wanted more journaling that actually
kinda covers both of those pages and
had this ready made envelope and tag so.....
I pretty much chatted about our SC stay and lack of
sightseeing- mostly weather, but we decided to just relax
and smell the roses.

This camp has a lovely 1 mile walk in the woods
with water sources and critters.
I have loved each and every walk I did each day.
I did try to do at least 2 miles and more
but.......

And that was going to be the wrap up page for the notebook
but I forgot about the BEE.
This little bee was being quite friendly, landing on me
and curiously lingered for a bit...
UNTIL
the bee discovered my kindle.
No kidding.
He scarfed up all those little white particles which
could be crumbs and did a mighty fine job.
It was totally clean when he was done.
Haven't seen him since.

Traveler's Notebook update - Maine

This little album is getting quite full and I since we are
heading to our winter home I'd like to
finish it in this album.
It's gonna be tight because I can't seem to be able to do this
without dimension.
Love my bags and tucking in journaling and since
we stayed 2 weeks in Maine - I decided to condense the journaling
on one tag.
I was quite chatty.
Also using up fun PL cards that I had forever and this
adorable one is from Paper Issues.
It was quite nippy in Maine going down to the 30's
and we were more or less getting over it.

Because of COVID restrictions (or maybe not) we need to make a reservation to ride up to Cadillac Mountain. Which we did. It was cold up there, lots of wind and not a lot of parking which also may be the cause of reservations.

I also kept the check from "The Traveling Lobster" roadside eatery which was totally delicious. We finally got to go - the crowd was always around the block and it was quite nippy to stand outside and wait. We found that timing is everything and having an early dinner helped. We also took it to go. We were quite bummed because we didn't have a good experience with other restaurants - food just wasn't up to the expensive pricing in a few we did try and because of that experience we didn't eat out much.
Of course we found some lighthouses in our ride about the harbors.
Bass Harbor, Egg Rock and Prospect Harbor.
Love how the embellishment fit into that doily. I do adore doilies and decided that it was simple enough to highlight and trying to avoid dimension - I may go back and splatter some mist around or not.
I did find a tiny scrapbook shop in Bar Harbor inside a fabric store and was really delighted. There wasn't a big selection but I did find this cute Little Yellow Bicycle embellishments. Above is our run from Maine to Pennsylvania. We watch the weather closely and about the time we were leaving Maine - high wind warnings were coming and we wanted to get ahead and not have to drive through them. We hit PA and then headed back to our friends in NJ since high winds and storms were coming down the line. We are now heading back to Florida - taking the long way.  Currently, we are in a lovely camp in South Carolina where were gonna hunker down for about a week and then stroll on into Florida to vote.

Halloween tags for the grands

I really had a great time doing the tags.
Normally I do cards but I wanted to do something different
so tags it is.
I also send $1 being the big spender that I am
and I'll be attaching them on the back with
double sided tape.
I love how they turned out.
And I'm also impressed that I used stash AND I was
able to get those Tim Holtz dies done.

That Halloween die with the 4 characters has a lot of itty bitty parts.
I so do NOT do well with itty bitty parts.
Howver, I did find out that
IF YOU DO ONE CHARACTER AT A TIME AND REFER
TO THE PICTURE ON THE FRONT OF THE PACKAGING
THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE ONE CAN GET
A FAXSIMILE THERE OF
OF THE CHARACTER.
Just sayin....
Anyway it worked for me as I tried to do them all at once.
Total disaster.

I did some fussy cutting and the background was made from
Tim Holtz oxides and distress inks.
Sadly I didn't make notes but basically,
yellow, orange, brown and black.
