Valentines for the grands

PINTEREST STRIKES AGAIN!
They turned out to be really fun.
Love that owl - M's I believe for like a $1.
I do need to work on my fussy cutting.

Cardstock, hero arts, washi.
And who doesn't love googly eyes.

Back to school page - 3rd grade

Found these prepunched starts in my stash and
that "flair" is from M's dollar stash
So easy when things are premade - however, keeping
them and hunting them down can be more annoying
than just punching them out.
Tossed some ranger mists about and included
stamping on the page.
I'm trying to use more stamps since I have so many
and this one seemed perfect- and
I love the 3D look its having here.
Did some paper tearing and added some washi.
I have a lot of washi I need to use too and
for some reason I have a hard time getting on a page.

Cyber scrapping rocks

Especially when its with a pal that loves a challenge.
April chose the lift - upper right corner in a 2008 Simple Scrapbooks Jan/Feb issue. It was a fun challenge. My page as you will recognize my favorite eldest son and my amazing granddaughter. I used patterned paper (studio calico) vellum, washi, and cutout card with some mist going on. I kept the title because it fit. Didn't do alot of journaling because it really doesn't need it.

April kept to the spirit of the page changing up the title and location of the heart.  We both kept to the 8.5x11 size.

The challenge of it was fun and I find it amazing that pages that were created "back in the day" still resonate today. They have a classic look, like the little black dress. Trends come and go but that little gem somehow continues to rule the day. The same in scrapbooking. I love the trends, but I feel it sometimes "dates" my pages. (Think 80's hairdos).
However, in 100 years from now, I'm hoping those next generations prize and cherish the pages I created and they will never know that A. The latest and greatest products weren't used, and B. Trends may or may not have been followed.

Photobombed Twice

Yes it could even happen in the old days.

Photobombing. Who knew.

Its really terrific though because the 2 little boys showed their mischevious side and many years later generations that didn't know them will see a glimpse of their personalities.

Right behind my Aunt Toot is my Uncle Albert - her younger brother. And way in the back is Uncle Frankie her really younger brother, who passed away at very young age.

This turned out to be a very simple page. I love that. It really showcases the photo.

Prima papers that just came like that. All I added was some MME as a mat, washi tape, a stamp in the corner, Kaiser flowers, Little Yellow Bicycle, and Studio Calico tiny alphas.

Hello facetime.........

Technology is wonderful.
Especially when a connection can be made.
This is Connor.
My grandson who is the spitting image of his dad.
He's adorable.
He's precocious.
He's chatty.
And doesn't that bring back memories.
I'm so glad him and I got to chat.
I wondered what I was going to say.
And there were no worries.
Because Connor was chatty, precoscious and totally adorable.
But you knew that.
Love the 4 year old pose.
He did it just for me.
And I love it and him.
Like totally.
And its complicated.
