St. Patrick's Day cards for the grands

Did them mostly alike because I really don't have

enough St. Patty's day stuff for 10 different cards and 

I kinda of enjoy making them alike yet somewhat different.

😂

Used some tissue paper in the background and I really

like the scrunch - gives it some texture.

I used the Tim Holtz 3D die cut for the clover and it

also has the heart on it too, sooooo might

as well get a 2-fer. 😊

I got to  make them pretty, although the look pretty in white.

I used oxides for the clover; rustic wilderness and fossilized amber.

It didn't quite turn out how I envisioned but it works.

That rainbow die cut is Sissix.

It's a really cute set I use quite a bit.

Itty bitty hearts and stars from a Tim Holtz thinlits hearts

and quickutz for the stars.

The inside Happy St. Patrick's Day is stamped in

green along with a few stamped clovers.

 

Our Annual St. Patty's day

Our annual St. Patrick's Day festivities were a lot of fun

having been joined by peeps from the Murphy Clan.

 The food was delish and the company was awesome.

It's so neat to hear stories of the Murphy's

from back in the day,

 This is a really old line from Reminesce and I did

fussy cut all of those the clovers.

 Love how it turned out. 

And there is a thank you card is tucked into

a glassine envelope behind the photo.

It was a fun day.

St. Patrick's Day cards

are winging their way to the grands.

I'm changing things up as they are growing up

and I realized I don't need to make them all alike.

Like doh!

I have had this paper forever, and my pay Holli

gave me some sparkly shamrocks and leprechauns 

for some snappy embellishments.

I do need to step up my card making skills - cards

like double pages baffle me.

Anyhoo, we had our Murphy Clan St. Pat's day this

past Sunday and we it was soooo good

meeting up with the Murphy's.

Reminisce

 (are they still around?)

I *heart* shenanigans

Picked up this adorable paper at my local

scrapbook shop and couldn't wait

to use it.

 I really didn't have to do much to the paper

and I really love this one that had a huge shamrock

on it.

Put some layers behind the photo and fussy cut some

shamrocks out, then, tossed some washi tape on.

Added some bling to the shamrocks, backed

the sticker as a title and tada!

Very fun!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

St. Patrick's day is a-comin'

And I wanted to make a little something for the grands.

So in the spirit of treating the older grands a bit different than

the littles I made them cards with a knock-knock

joke I stole off the internet somewhere.

(The INSIDE- says I RISH you a Happy St. Patrick's day.

I thought it was a hoot....

The smaller bows have a "coin" with a shamrock

glued onto a punched die cut that also says 

Happy St. Patrick's day - and that bow behind them

was a ribbon I saved from Lou's baby shower.

Lou is now 5 years old. 

There's also a glue dot on the back if they want to

hang them off themselves or somewhere else.

Their initials are in the center to personalize it a bit.

I rolled into Easter after this - trying to make shakers

that turned into an absolute disaster - so back to the drawing

board on those.

And I'm not apologizing

because it seemed to work.

I wanted this paper because it wasn't in your face

and I had the shamrock paper which was.

For some reason I whacked a chunk out of the background

paper so the only way to use it was to

cut into 6x12 size.

Love it.

 I fussy cut the shamrocks out because they

were totally adorable and

just used a strip as an anchor.

 The title came in a PL card (again with that I know)

Do you find you get on a streak with something?

Anyway I first cut the words in strips

and it didn't really ring my chimes so I fussy

cut each letter.

Love that result.

I also got to use a bunch of enamel dots too.

Woohoo stash going down.

Studio Calico, Paper Studio, Evalicious enamels.

Cards....

It's the month for cards however,

I don't do cards well but I don't think the grands care.

I used up all my St. Patty's day & Easter stuff

from past years so I went on the

hunt at Michael's and Hobby Lobby and quite

frankly I was disappointed in both

but mostly with M's. 

M's had nothing - no paper, no stamps, nothing on sale

as they always do for either holiday.

HL had papers and that was it - which kind of surprised

me I was hoping for a bit more on Easter.

And it wasn't because I waited until late either.

However, there was other stuff for St. Patty's Day that

I put to use with HL paper.

And the coins were a bonus - and not chocolate - it'll be

up to the parents to inform the kidlets

it ain't real gold LOL.

Stickers on a page

Stickers have come a long way baby and I have always

shied away from the obvious.

However, I wanted some shamrocks for

a St. Patrick's day page because well...I'm Irish so.....

I waited until well after St. Patty's day

to look for anything Irish. 

So there were no stamps, no punches nothing but stickers.

I bought 3 packs just in case.

Shamrocks and words and shamrocks oh my.

So I did lift a concept of Ashli's over at Purplemailbox. 

I love her butterfly page, the layering, the paints.

ooooooo well I sort of did that here - only somewhat backwards.

LOL.

I know you're surprised.

I layered on the stickers and I wasn't shy about it. 

They were transparent so using any dimension on them wasn't 

going to work unless there was a backing applied.

Which looked stupid.

And that is why there is that huge patch of washi there

covering up what didn't work out.

Gotta love washi.

So I used some gesso and watercolor paint. 

Studio Calico came through with the paper, alphas and

the Paper Studio stickers.

But not necessarily in that order.

I like it.
