Our Annual St. Patty's day

Our annual St. Patrick's Day festivities were a lot of fun

having been joined by peeps from the Murphy Clan.

 The food was delish and the company was awesome.

It's so neat to hear stories of the Murphy's

from back in the day,

 This is a really old line from Reminesce and I did

fussy cut all of those the clovers.

 Love how it turned out. 

And there is a thank you card is tucked into

a glassine envelope behind the photo.

It was a fun day.

St. Patrick's Day cards

are winging their way to the grands.

I'm changing things up as they are growing up

and I realized I don't need to make them all alike.

Like doh!

I have had this paper forever, and my pay Holli

gave me some sparkly shamrocks and leprechauns 

for some snappy embellishments.

I do need to step up my card making skills - cards

like double pages baffle me.

Anyhoo, we had our Murphy Clan St. Pat's day this

past Sunday and we it was soooo good

meeting up with the Murphy's.

Reminisce

 (are they still around?)

I *heart* shenanigans

Picked up this adorable paper at my local

scrapbook shop and couldn't wait

to use it.

 I really didn't have to do much to the paper

and I really love this one that had a huge shamrock

on it.

Put some layers behind the photo and fussy cut some

shamrocks out, then, tossed some washi tape on.

Added some bling to the shamrocks, backed

the sticker as a title and tada!

Very fun!

Mist, splatters and runs, oh my!

Would you believe I added the splat and runs and splatters after the page was completed?

I'm very brave that way and it helps to cover up anything you don't want

misted, splattered or running.

It needed that extra something. 

The page would've been fine without it (and I wish I'd have taken that picture)

but it does add another dimension and/or texture to the page.

AND I got to use the extremely large letters from Reminesce that I've

had for about 100 years. 

No really.

And I have more of that where it came from.

Added some stamping in because well it does add something, and they need

to be used and not laying around being idle.

Got to toss some packaging.

Woo hoo stash down.

Amelia finally getting to play soccer after hanging around on the field

for years, watching the big brothers play.

She is totally ready.

She's got the moves going on.

Can't wait for more action shots.

Tea Ritual

From generation to generation little girls everywhere had at some point in time host a tea party.

Whether that tea party was with her favorite doll, stuffed animals or any live body that came into sight, it was an inherent part of a little girl's childhood.

Annie, dressed in her Sunday best, was caught on film enjoying some Earl Grey while relaxing on the living room floor. Enjoying her tea, enjoying her solitude and morning.

Most of the papers are from my Studio Calico kits with some Noteworthy, Reminesce, punches and thickers. ooooooo and a transparency. I should start writing this stuff down again. sigh.

The 15th means Heritage Challenge!!!

is up with the rest of the challenges at Moments.

My challenge is find a loved one/ancestor that has a

"seemingly inconsequential malady."

Now a "seemingly inconsequential malady" can mean

that the person afflicted has adjusted to said "malady" and is

totally oblivous that a problem even exists.

Then there is the exploiter of "said malady" that either

knowingly or unknowingly played on this "malady with humerous results.

As you can see above, 

my grandfather is wearing a pink shirt.

Why?

Because he was colorblind and my gram

 picked out his clothes.
