Really really old paper

I did go with the obvious here again especially

when I found this paper in my stash.

This is really really old stuff - Creative Imaginations,

Marrah Johnson design, Creative Cafe Tag which is really

more red in real life. 

I also broke out the die cut machine.

Love those feathers.

 I paired that 6x6 number paper from Studio Calico

with the striped transparency because 

it seemed like the thing to do.

Even those tabs are big die cuts from Quickutz

long time ago.

 The cuteness factor of this photo is above a level 10. 

LOL.

He  has all the instruments he needs to lay down a track.

No doubt he'll rock it.

Both parents are musicians.

A soft and sweet look

This is a bit different from my other pages

and I like that.

It's good to get out and play and do different

styles and looks.

(This sort of resembles Soaphouse Mama's style)

 Teal and white is a soft palette and it works

so well with this photo.

It truly lets the photo shine.

I was able to use the cute fox and I actually

had ink in my stash that really went well to use for the date stamp.

 Since the fox was sort of orange I brought the color

down in the camera using my homemade enamel dots and another
itty bitty enamel sticker is on the banner tag that also has a bit of orange in it.

There is a bit of watercolor behind the photo that I totally managed to cover up.
Shocking I know.

I used all Studio calico except for bits and

pieces from the Paper issues swag bag
and Lawn Fawn badge of course.

Sam is adorable and you just wanna smoosh his cheeks.

Stamping Frenzy

I believe I may have used them all. 

LOL.

Actually there are Studio Calico, Creative Cafe, Amy Tangerine,

Recollections and Dear Lizzy.

I actually love the chaos. 

Do you remember QK Stillettos alpha font??

I know it fits perfect in that space.

The hearts were stash from many kits ago and

they look great on the page.

Changed it up to 8.5x11 and mounted it on

black cardstock which makes it totally pop and I used

the reverse side of the paper to mat

the photo along with black cardstock - I thought

about layering more but I felt it

would detract from that lovely photo.

And his blue eyes.

A 6x12 just to change things up

Actually I also practiced my stamping

and stitching and came to the conclusion that

both need work.

 However, no guts - no glory and I persevered.

Found another big tag.

I adore those big tags.
Each time I think I've used the last one - I find another.
Big tag win!

 They are the perfect mat for a 4x4 photo.

I used a transparency over the photo and also stamped

on said transparency. Love how it looks.

Almost used up the Echo Park

I keep saying that and one day it'll be true.

I find more. 

And that would be awful but I really love the line.

Capture Life.

 Did a bit of clustering and laying with stickers and cutouts.

 I'm getting over my phobia of covering things up.

Sort of.

And then there's the adorableness.

That just rocks the page.

Sam is getting so big.

I don't remember what the black dictionary paper is.

My bad.

Again, reusing elements on different layouts

I seem to be diggin' circles lately.

And borders - they do create a lovely feel.

And again employing their use on another page even

the same color.

It does make an album cohesive, however, there's really nothing

cohesive about my everyday albums.

And a lot of my pages go in the grandkids 8x8 albums

so that doesn't help with the cohesiveness,

and doesn't that give me the license to use whatever I want,

whenever I want. LOL!

This was basically a driveby page as I couldn't make up my mind

about a lot of things.

I know you're surprised.

It was the new Echo Park I've been working with and

I love the heart page - and all its busy-ness.

So I threw on some gesso and watercolors and then

couldn't decide if I liked it.

Therefore, its mostly covered up.

I also had a couple of leaf branches where the feathers

are now, and decided that looked too girly

and went with just feathers.

Did some stamping, the music is Studio G and the100% boy

is from Recollections and both work perfectly.

And then there's the wood veneer alphas and stars.

Well finding the letters was fun.

NOT.

For some dumb reason that, I in my infinite wisdom, dumped

every single wooden embellishment I had from Studio Calico

into one big ole bowl.

Every.single.one.

And doesn't that make for good hunting when you need to make words.

I proceeded to dump everything out of the bowl and now I have

them all segregated according to alphas, hearts, people, and arrows that

I have an amazing abundance of.

As you can see.

Stamping and Sweetness

Just to be perfectly clear the sweetness comes from Samwise.

Love the sweet smile.

So there was a total stretch for the title.

I know you're surprised.

Again.

It was fun to pull out the stamps as I went because as

always this was "a flyby page,"

Studio Calico & Basic Grey stamps, on the adorable banners at the top,

and I handcut them. Simple Stories under the title.

Those fun arrows and it appears that those office tags are

making a comeback. 

I always liked those tags.

And didn't the vellum ones make you swoon.

I love rick rack

Well honestly, who doesn't. I found a piece of white from back in the Creative Cafe days and had enough for the 8" circle and for anchoring the two hearts at each corner of the page. I also surprised myself and didn't use ink around the edges. I wanted a fresh, crisp look. Baby Sam looks fresh and crisp.

I also need to get my grubby lil mitts on more rick racks.
