Just a smidge off center

And there's a reason - there's this issue I've been having

lately with mists and the packaging technique.

It's been a flat out horror story - in fact there's one page

I seriously can't fix - that I may or may not ditch.

It's that bad.

Therefore in order to cover up said horror that strip

had to moved just a titch to assist in the

cover-up.

Feathers help too.

Now there's just a bit of color popping out 

that actually looks good.

Grands on a rock - they love the outdoors.

Pink fresh, thickers, and die cut feathers.

And mists 😐😐😐😐

Less is more like the little black dress

I love this paper from Studio Calico and

when I laid this photo on it,

the photo just exploded off of it.

 I knew that a mat and bunch of layers behind the photo

would pull the photo away from

this gorgeous paper.

So......I decided to not mat the photo.

I know!!!
It's a really different look for me.

 I also decided to keep all embellishments to a minimum.

Until I tossed some of this sew easy copper 

thread around - I wanted some movement and the stars

on the paper are sort of a coppery gold.

Well I used some glossy accents to hold some of thread

in place and it left blots. (FYI...)

Well to cover up the blots I used some gold sequins wherever
 those blots were because you couldn't miss them.

A couple feathers, a tag from HL Spare parts some

paper issues swag bag stars and a Studio Calico phrase made

it all come together.

Feathers and feathers

Love this paper by Studio Calico- feathers.

Honestly I didn't know what to do with it at first.

And this set of photos came together.

Found some cutouts and punches and FEATHERS.

Love the feathers on the page and then the wooden veneers feathers.

And don't they all play nice together.

There's some Jillybean soup patterned paper going on.

Evidently, in addition to duck face - there's mean mugs.

I can do mean mugs.

Using my new stamp in combo with my new punch

I did get quite carried away punching out doilies.

Which means I have lots to use.

Therefore, be warned, you shall be seeing them for awhile because that's how I roll. Sadly. It was 50% off at Hobby Lobby who could resist? Not me.

 Yanking out my stuff from new and old Studio Calico, I 

just started to play. Stamping and misting.

Lots of fun. Then laid out the paper strips and doilies and went to hunt down a photo. B&W pix on aqua just rocks. You can't beat that combo. I totally adore ledger pages too. What is the attraction. I had some Tim Holtz sprockets laying around and decided that would be neat - balancing out the clock in the corner. Love that the photo had space where I could start the title.

Little Miss Annie on a mission to find those Easter eggs and it appears she wasn't messing around.

My 13 top page picks for various reasons

It appears that there are a lot of heritage pages.

I love to do heritage pages and I wanted to get more

original photos "safe" on pages.

This one was controversial because I couldn't get the 

baby's name right & I used feathers.

 I love shapes.

I adore shapes and this page was fun.

 This was a sketch challenge with a lot of

"white' space going on.

I love the simplicity of it.

 Been catching glitter girl episodes and

decided to try one of her tried and true page

designs and get more than one photo on a page.

 And of course, my infamous or not bathroom re-do

finally completed with amazing results.

And a bit of humor thrown in because it couldn't

be helped and busy crazy papers and colors.

 Colorblocking - who doesn't love the way that works

with some shapes and laters.

 Designing one's own tracks with stamping, inks and paint

with a splash of colors & shapes.

Using predesigned papers with a bit of extras.

 Using a photo as a base page to tell a story.

 Using negative space with layers - another idea from

glitter girl with photos portrait and landscape and just

start - picking out papers and design and then grab photos.

Getting busy papers rolling and jumping in with 

some travel photos finally - had the worst time getting

them going. 

Here's to next year being as fun, eclectic and adventerous.
