Pressure's off - A completed Scrapbook Page

I thought I would do a how it's done. And I can do highlights as you'll see later in the post. I used the white acryllic paint on the Fancy Pants paper. Swirling it about and splattering it around where I think the photo will be.

AND THEN, I picked out a bunch of stuff to put on the page and a photo. 

AND WA-LA

A completed page!!!

It's just how it went.

I got sooooo caught up in the placement and making sure it was

perfect, I forgot what I was doing was a stepbystep page.

So I did a bunch of layers with WRM project life cards, Bella Blvd,

Basic Grey, Bassil cardstock, Creative Cafe tag and Recollections washi tape.

And aren't those parenthesis cool?

I had them forever so your guess would be as good as mine about the mfg.

I did get a bit windy.

FOOT UPDATE - I will be calling to schedule an x-ray tomorrow for a DR appt.

next week. It feels good. I sometimes forget and put it on the floor - no pressure and 

it doesn't hurt. It does ache from being in the boot and its very 

aromatic after a long day.

Feeling the Pressure - TWO Studio Calico Kits

Just waiting for me. 

Ma came about when I broke my foot and

then planning for our 2 weeks RV trip.

Oh the goodies. Oh where to begin. 

Oh the pressure.

And then along came June sitting at my front door when I arrived at home Saturday.

What a great homecoming treat! Seriously, but now..........
I have all these photos taken on the trip - that are now just waiting.

 Can we say overwhelming?

I always feel that way upon returning from a trip- so many photos- not knowing where to start. 

I still have not scrapped our wild west trip 2 years ago now?

I can't decide.

Baby steps -  just find that one photo. 

Then the mojo.

And then.....use those gorgeous kits.

Boondockin' in the Great Smokies

Boondockin' - is RV camping in national or state forests with/without limited amenities.

That meant with our RV we still had shelter that provided fresh water and a bathroom. (Generators could only be run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.)

We just had to conserve for just one night.

Such a hardship. (kidding)

We close to a river - as in we could hear the river - just not see it from the camper.

Without any ambient noises; no generators, radios nor loud voices,

you could not only enjoy the rush of the water

but also hear the wind brush the tree leaves.

It was very relaxing after a long day.

Fortunately, it was beautiful weather, perfect actually, there was a cool breeze

that actually made with through our open windows

perfect for sleeping.

Swinging in and out of Erie PA

And there is the infamous Erie Canal. How cool is that except that I really wasn't fast enough. We stopped in the Erie park so I could get a photo of one of the locks. 

Locks are interesting and only fun maybe the first couple of times. We traversed a few locks on our way across the Florida state and sailed over to Bimini.

Locks are located to one side or the other of a waterway, and you have to wait for their signal prior to sailing in. Once in, you are thrown a line and your job is to hang on to the line and keep the boat as close to the wall as possible (without banging it up or getting yourself smashed) as the water either rises or lowers to match the waters on the other side.

This is a bridge going across the canal. I thought it was neat and the park was pretty and a lovely place to pace to the time.

And then way out there in red is a lighted channel marker and or lighthouse. Either way.....

Of course I had to get it from a different angle. 

As we drove though this town I snapped this shot really fast because I love these old store facade. Check out the windows because of course I didn't catch it until they were in photoshop. It is mannequins or ghosts........

And then we found another lighthouse inland. This is the Big Sodus light built in 1870 replacing the first lighthouse built in 1825. This was a working lighthouse from 1871 to 1901. 

In this phot if you look left between the tree branches is the channel marker/lighthouse that replaced this lighthouse. Again, modern times sure took the romance out of lighthouses.

In or around places in Vermont

I adore old country churches that were used for anything and everything; worship, town halls, socials.. Trying to keep all the road signs out and wires. I never knew there were that many wires and road signs and how annoying they are.

And the clouds were rolling this day. 

And just being gorgeous and wild.

More clouds but I do love a good bridge. 

And store fronts - don't they just make you swoon. It was sad to see that many abandoned in the little town of Bethel (I think).

Couldn't help this - we were by the side of the road whilst map consulting and there was a little bit of water coming out of the ground. And this sign. What you don't see are all the danger signs about NOT drinking this water without boiling.

And clouds and bridges and mountains oh my....

And then as you come over the rise or around a turn - there are HUGE windmills.

 By the time I got my act together they were surrounding this farm. 

Beautiful brisk (to us) sunny day in NH

We were totally rooting for a sunny day, after that anything else was a bonus.

I was comfy in jeans, tee and a hoody.

The grands came ready for a sunny, hot day.

I seriously missed the hot part.

So here's Q-man clinging to the monkey bars.

Boy after my own athletic abilities. 

For now.

And brothers hanging out on rooftops.

And each swinging in their own way.

And grammy got to push her - really really high. I ducked in front to grab a pix (or maybe mom did it). 

The slide was a total hit and they were lining up for turns.

It was really high with a long slide going down. Anyone remember bringing waxpaper along to rub on it to make it go faster.

And she needed to beat her brothers down and ran ahead for the next slide. 

Love this look. Caught her. She's a wily and cagey when it comes to photographing her. For once I was quick on the draw.

And the boys couldn't resist hanging on the roof tops of all the cool stuff. (see below)

Lil miss getting driving lessons from mom in the big wheeled 4-wheel drive (I'm sure) truck. Very cool.
