Photos from back in the day

Would you believe as I plundered about in the wayback box
these 3 photos were tucked together.
How often do you come across a find like that.
It has happened to me twice.
And don't they just fit in that page I made without
a photo(s) in mind.
Gotta love it when a plan comes through.

So I've got my Sunday best going on.
(And in one photo I believe I have sneakers on)
Quite the fashion trend setter.
And I have my pixie hair do going on.
They called it a pixie to make me like it better.
It.didn't.work.
Those photos were taken from 1959, 60 and 61.
My style didn't change in 3 years.

All Studio Calico.

Designing pages without photo(s) in mind

Lately I've been doing that on a lot of pages. I grab some papers and embellishments and then proceed to play around with paints, mists and masks in some cases.
I used some mists on this but basically kept it simple. I also added some labels, stars and rubon with words that I normally don't do on a page without a photo because I have no idea which way it'll turn.
On my posts about mists and paints is where I got carried away with them and that page was also designed without a photo in mind.

It's not that I don't have any pictures its that none of them are "speaking" to me at the moment.
And that's okay.
It also doesn't mean that the creating on the page stops here either. I may add more "stuff"; especially a title and journaling will be on there but maybe a mat or more embellishments and mists. But for now I think I'll let it sit awhile and "stew."
It's kind of a fun to design pages without photos and I've been doing that quite a bit lately. The after designing hunting down the photo(s) that will "FIT." Usually my problem is that my mats are too small for 4x6 photos or I design it for portrait instead of landscape, and the majority of my photos are landscape. Doh.
I'm envisioning maybe a b&w photo strip or maybe portrait.
We shall see.
Also lately, life seems to get in the way and socializing is interfering with scrapping. However, isn't that a conundrum - you need to socialize to get the photos to scrap. And this week it seems I don't have a stash of pages to blog about. I need to work on that.

Therefore, Just for giggles and grins you design a page without a photo in mind.
Page designed using ALL studio calico except for twine and tag.

Gotta few kits for the crop goin' on

Wooowhheeee!!!
Go me.
The first one was the hardest and has the most stuff
going on. And that's a good thing.
This will be a 3 photo page.
It's getting serious now.......Have I mentioned that I scrap by the seat of my pants.
And its always a crap shoot.
This one and the next I actually did simultaneously. Boggles the mind I know. Still packing a bunch of choices just in case.

Choices can be a good thing. I know I put more flowers in this one. hmmm...
This next one I printed an 8.5 x 11 photo
and that will be my background paper. I'm really
jazzed about doing that one.
As I'm kitting my mind, such as it is, is trying to envision wet mediums to bring.
And thickers - how many - as I have a drawful.
And textures. OMG.
You may notice this one is a bit light. However, from the other kits, I have stuff I can pull in, hopefully.  If not, I'll be in a scrapbook store. Doesn't get any better than that.

I purchased some Halloween paper while I was there the other day and I'm hoping I'll get some pix of my ghouls and goblins in time.....

I'm also throwing in some stamps I used a bit and some inks
I use a lot. I'm also taking a bunch of Studio Calico Stuff.
They're in containers all their own.
I'm currently collecting punches, watercolors and gelatoes.
I'm needing containers.
Lots of containers.

I only get a 4th of a table.
Stay tuned.

I got nothing...

No pages or layouts today.
I am going to a crop on Saturday and I'm
really excited and jazzed.
I get to hang with my pals Brooke, Suzanne and Holli
and make some new friends.

This'll be my third big crop.

The first time I was woefully unprepared.
I made up for that the second time
and even kitted pages with photos and embellishments
and took enough stuff to restock the store.

However.

For some reason I'm in a funk shall we say.
I can't seem to be able to start.
Picking out photos, much less papers and make kits
And then there's the "what do I take" besides
everything.

I have a lot of everything.

I'm stalled and overwhelmed and don't that just annoy me.
Suggestions anyone?
I have time - I can do babysteps.

Since my mojo has left the building.....

I have a semi-new lens that attaches to any lens and
makes it a wide angle.
Its very cool.
 I have a ledge.
Filled with photos and projects done by the grands.
I love looking at it when I scrap and the majority of
them have been scrapped at some point.
 And photos above as well.
I change them out occassionally to keep it fresh
as they grow. Which is way.too.fast.
I have had to declutter twice.
I know this surprises you.
It totally runs the length of my work space.
I need a bigger wall.
