Use your scraps in a homemade album

I don't know about you BUT I tend to collect ALOT
of scraps in different sizes, shapes and colors.
My scrap storage overfloweth and my drawer won't
close and I need my drawer to close.
So....
I happen to keep chipboard on hand because its
really handy to have around.
Also its handy to have paint, inks and oxides and
stamps and stencils, oh my.
You can make covers for your own album - mine 9.5x9
because I wanted to use all sizes of papers.
Alot of mix and matching going on.
I picked out a bunch and punched holes and I also
keep rings on hand because ya never know...

I didn't worry about colors or shapes or sizes (well
excecpt for papers that are really small)
and just put them in.
I know it's wild but because of the rings you
aren't married to them.
And you can rearrange also.

This is back appears to be the same as the front.
And they came out awesome.
Can't wait to dive in.

Mini album made from scraps

Created this little mini album from a ton of scraps I have in my scrap bag. It keeps it down to a mild roar. LOL. The cover is really skimpy chipboard-two glued to make it less skimpy and then stamps and archivel inks and distress inks. I gesso'd the cover and liked it.

On the inside originally turned out really ugly so I painted over with white enamel paint and started over again and decided to keep it simple.

Not sure how I'm gonna use this.

It's just a fun way to use scraps and keep them from being so overwhelming.

Not sure how I'll use it or maybe I'll gift it.

Mini album from scraps

When mojo is in short supply - I head to my
overflowing bin of used papers and
just start putting them together - no rhyme no reason
except maybe size - a piece that will fit when folded.
Once the lil booklet is put together
 let the embellishing begin
and I use ALL THAT STUFF that makes
no sense in any pages I make
and a lot of stash gets used.
Sometimes I keep these lil albums for me
and sometimes I give them away
 sometimes I leave them blank
and sometimes I leave them blank to the
giftee can do what they want with them.
I had two albums I previously made
and gifted them to my granddaughter Annie
and when I was there a few months ago
we sat together and I showed her how to add her
photos and journaling.
Annie is 7 and never to learn to figure it out
especially when she rocks her own camera
and now has tons of photos with nowhere to go.
I did add ribbon to close this album - something
I didn't do on the others.
I think it helps that it closes and I think Anni will
like this one too.

Here is the post where Annie and I scrapped together.
Another generation.
How cool is that.
