I put this tag together for no particular reason

along with others and it works

perfectly on this page.

 The star and clock are very thin wooden

embellishments from Studio Calico - and they 

are perfect.

(I remember the "thin wooden" from back in the

day but not sure what it's from - anyone else remember?

They seem to be making a comeback)

 Those embellies are very cool and actually quite delicate.

The heart is part of it too.

A bit of mists in the background is quite dramatic

setting off that lovely dinner of ribs

that just melt in your mouth. If you ever get to

Memphis - you need to hit Beale Street.

It's a happening place.

Pink Polka Dotted Paper

 Say that 3 times fast LOL!!

Anyhoo, managed to work in my homemade tag

with the pineapple and flamingo.

I neeeeed to make more.

 Splattered some mists about and using tiny

wooden and enamel stars, dots

and just for fun threw in some nuvo dots.

Amelia being goofy - love it!!

She's growing so fast. 

Momma captioned this photo that Amelia

wants to donate her locks.

She does have gorgeous long hair.

We'll see how that goes.

Love the transparency letters for a title.

Not as hard to see in real life.

And a doodled border.

A bit of background texture

Starting with some Tim Holtz and Jenni Bowlin stencils.

And of course mists.

I love the paper and the small blue pattern,

 it just needed a little something something more

and I finally got to use my spilled coffee stencil.

It's really a versatile stencil.

It's not just for coffee.

And those bows. 

When I have no mojo and lots of

2 sided scraps in the box,  I roll it through the diecut 

and just sit and make bows.

It's amazing how randomly making them and find they actually match.

 This combo was a "tag" I made ahead of time 

and it totally worked perfect with this page.
I watched an Inky Quill vid where she just pulls stuff out
and makes tags that can be used whenever.
So I made three - I didn't want to be an over achiever LOL.
So there are 2 left but I can only find one.
Maybe I used it already. hmm....

 I love those bows - they make me swoon and

of course those glitter hearts and

itty bitty enamel dots just set them off and really what more
is needed. Those itty bitty dots are Nuvo crystals that I
happened to pick up at my LSS and bought 4
colors, black was a given, and I also have the pink and gold (shown here too)
and some green, so I played around with different
sizes of all the colors on some wax paper and let them dry overnight
BUT before they dried the wind blew and ruffled some
stuff on my desk and some of the colors
got a bit mixed and squashed.
Anyhoo, I love them, so far.

The entire page needed something to bring it all together

and I used my cutter to cut these really really thin

pieces of cardstock to outline frame the page as 

I didn't want something overwhelming and these are perfect.

 The title is made from some word die cuts I got from Hobby Lobby
and I have used them previously as accents like word stickers.

Love this photo of Miss Amelia, she is so adorable and wild.

She needs to be a model.

Wordy background paper

I really loved this paper and it really rocks the photo I chose

 but its wordy.

So in looking at the photo which is adorable by the way,

I went through and squared (instead of circling LOL) phrases

that I loved and work with the photo 

down the left side of the page.

Because of the circled phrases to the left I put my cluster to the right.

 I wanted to use that "oh boy" because it just fit-especially the colors.

 I scattered some stars about and really kept things simple.

So when I finally got passed the adorable faces and really

looked at the photo - Sam and Lou have

paint brushes in the hands - and look like they're on a mission 

which should put fear in any adults heart LOL.

Homemade tag inspired a page

Yes its true!

An entire page built around my homemade tag.

Doesn't get any better than that in jumping the ole mojo.

 The next bonus find that totally blows away the tag mojo

is finding my mom's handwriting on the back of this photo.

I copied it and added it to the page.

Love little finds like that.

 Broke out some die cuts and my rolling stamp because

I didn't want the watercolors to be lonely.

 Sweet homemade enamel dots.

Sorry they still blow me away.

It's the little things.

It's a bit wild but I love that.

Love the photo of me and my boy.

When I looked back at him in that outfit it blew my

away at how tall he was.

And slender.

We have some Studio Calico, Shimelle, and Kaiser Craft going on.

As of today - there is only one tag left.

I feel pretty good about getting all of these on pages.

 Very close to meeting that goal.

 Love the anchor die cut - I found that I have used it a lot.

I hand wrote the title resembling the old EK success word ones.

I love those - Tim Holtz has a similar word thing - be cracks wasn't 

one of the words lol!

This is such a great photo. 

Cavin cracks me up with his fun laughter

which I'm sure Mz Amelia had something to do with.

Artist Loft pearlesence watercolors

picked them up at M's the other day and

just look how pretty they are.

I also have the regular watercolors by Artist Loft

though they look like they've seen better days.

These are almost too pretty to dip into.

Almost.............

 Didn't have a photo in mind but I love this paper

and decided the paints would look very pretty together.

Tossed some gesso on and then the paint. 

And I was right. Its pretty and pearly.

I used the pink, gold and green.

 I really love these paints.  

The colors rolled on pretty and easily.

 As I added layers I softened them with gesso and watercolors.

I also inked around the edges with vintage photo ink by ranger.

 And then back to the wayback box for a photo.

There were two.

However, I felt drawn to this one and it just works

with the embellishments.

Mrs. Schneider (Hilda) was great grandmom.

Mrs. Schneider was written on the back of the photo-nothing more.

I'm thinking someone other than family took the photo

and gave it to her or family.

I wish I knew more.
