I just love this paper

That being said, this was a drive by page.

 Meaning it laid on my desk as I moved, added and changed things up.

Alot.

And I rolled without a photo.

I really like doing that.

 This time I left enough room for a photo.

The title is chipboard that I painted pink around the edges

for another page it didn't make it on.

So I blobbed white enamel paint all over it.

Shabby Chic'd it up. 

 And those bows.

Don't they make you swoon.

Its a die cut - assembly required.

And layers...........

The informal picture works well which is why

I finally used that chipboard title.

I did scrap this photo before in my kidlets book

years ago, and in hunting down a pic

I found the original

and now I have one for my album.

Happy Birthday to my favorite eldest son

 Who's rockin' the facial hair. 

I can't decide if I like it.

So I kinda got my Ashli on - watched her video over

on the flair blog.

I love how she uses the washi tape with paint.

I didn't do that. But I love her placement of it so I sorta

followed that and the stamping.

And the bits and pieces. She brings them all together

like they're supposed to be.

I'm working on it. LOL!

 I did get to use my big antlered animal stamp from Studio Calico.

I can't decide if its moose or elk (I really wanted to say squirrell). 

I didn't come up with that until my go to title maker

came up with the title.

It was obvious when you think about it.

Obviously I wasn't thinking about it. 

I tucked in a tag for hidden journaling and some layering.

Anyway favorite eldest will be umm.....older. While

I'm still really WAY young. Lots younger.

I'll chase a butterfly anywhere...

And this guy has been teasing me forever.

We have a flower box in the backyard and firecracker

flowers and/or flora attract Zebra longwing.

(Yeah I looked it up - bing is a wonderful thing).

 There were several pairs flitting about - but by the time 

I changed lenses (I need to learn to be faster)

to my canon 70-300

he was the only left and he was very twitchy.

 He didn't light and land for long and made it tough

to focus on. I've been having trouble with focus

but I can't decide if its the camera or I need new glasses.

Probably the latter.

My favorite eldest follows a photographer Fro Knows and

sent me 2 of his videos. I watched the first one

and it goes through the basics of the camera and getting

off auto and on manual which I have been

doing for awhile but there's alot to know and I

forget something each time. 

SO practice practice practice is the word of the day.

Couldn't resist practicing with the butterfly.

I started with basic settings for gloomy, cloudy and dark but

before I could change any of them to make it

better (because eldest son said it looked to grainy and my ISO

was too high). And that was the whole point because of the weather to 

start there and then play around. 

Butterfly is a fickle critter and I didn't get to play.

However it was a good starting point.

If they're out today I shall commence to stalking again.
