Ninth grade penmanship

That I found on the back of my ninth grade school photo.

So in setting up this photo I found some

really old Basic Grey papers and embellishments

that look really good together.

 I copied the back of the photo and I was baffled

as to why I'd write my name and address on the back of it.

I guess in case I lost it LOL.

How wild are those capital letters - it's fun to

see how my penmanship has evolved.

 After I put it all together I decided that some sort

of backing was needed so I was able to cut down

and using some grey card stock making a lovely soft frame.

I have a brooch pinned to my collar

and that vest - with matching skirt was homemade.

I wanted baby on there but I used up all the B's from this thickers package for crabby bird. LOL!!!

This is Amelia and her eyes. Love it. And the page is a lift of Wilna over at 2-peas in the mood videos.

I learned to mix gesso and gel mediums to slap into the evil templates that I used reusable adhesive to keep it in place.

I broke out the gelatoes and smeared them around.

I used the entire sheet of star transfers from Studio Calico - because Wilna was all like why not. Which is cool because now I don't have a half a sheet flopping about getting in the way.

The a mix of Studio Calico; pattern papers, thickers & Tim Beck alphas from this months kit, vellum die cuts & star rubons, then some Dear Lizzy, Fancy Pants and Amy Tangerine going on.

Hello NY - Hi 5

I'm recovering from the creeping crud and so glad for it too. Very annoying being sick - it gets in the way of all the fun things waiting to be done.

So there's Lou, a yankee fan, you can tell by the awesome cap he has on. In a great photo - that almost looks 3D. And then there's the NY skyline. I love the skyline - You can't help but take a bunch of pix of it. Gotta love that.

Of course the page is 8x8 because it will be off in the mail to go in the parents's album. I like mixing up sizes and these are the easiest to ship.

It was a fun page to toss together without overthinking it. Much. Using Bo Bunny, Basic grey, K&co and unknown blue sheet. I really need to mark these things down - but once the strip is off I'm pretty much just guessing.

Love that I got to use the Prima chipboard alphas that I've had forever- the distressed look makes me swoon. The ticket stub for journaling is 7 gypsies well unless mama's windy - then she can write wherever she wants to. There as a big gap to me when I was putting it together, hence the swirly twine from one to another - I think it helps with pulling the title together. It's odd but works.
