Cochise's Stronghold

Basically it is a drive-through park with some camping
but it is really pretty.
With structures.
I love structures.
And the curious.

and curioser

It is fertile land in a canyon surrounded by mountains.
A defensible place where his tribe can winter.

I

This is a western scrub jay.
I seem to be attracting blue birds.

It did have a 4 wheeling road but we were in the
canyon late in the day and didn't know
how long the road was and didn't want to be
on it after dark.

Elk and friends...

An entire herd.
Awesome!!
And not so good settings but I do NOT claim
to be a pro.

The man of the herd kinda lost control LOL!
He was across the street and all his babes were on
the other side of the road.
 And they did stop traffic.

 Battery Point Lighthouse.

I turned around and made a friend.
He thought I had goodies because evidently
people feed them.
Silly squirrel.
 The coastline of Cali..
Made another friend and he has followed me up the coast.
I have proof 💼

The coastline on the west coast is wild and beautiful.
Highly recommend a ride up Hwy 101.

Hanging out with Favorite Youngest Son

Who just turned 24.
But who's counting LOL!
We stayed at Ochlocknee River Park again
and had lovely weather and campsites.
And here we have the pole sitter.
Watching over the camp.

Here is the famous white squirrel a genetic mutation of
the grey squirrels - and a tad shy.
This one did have grey on his head and a stripe down his back.
Really cool.
Shane and I trying to get the birthday selfies right.

It took a few times - and then shazam.
Got one!
Seriously I really only have one chin.
